Diablo 4 performs Gem socketing in overhaul Lord of Hatewhich will have major implications for every single building throughout the game. What at first seems like a small adjustment can actually be one of the most impressive changes Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred.
Inserting gems Diablo 4 is a staple of build creation, especially in the early game. Right now, gems provide additional bonuses to specific stats that can be useful to give each build a little extra power. Gems Get a big Buff in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred
Before Lord of HateAt launch, Blizzard revealed patch notes for Diablo 4Update 3.0.1 which will be the live version of the game when the expansion is released. One particular line will have a huge impact on the game and its builds where it says “All gems have new multiplier bonuses to damage when attached to weapons.” At the moment, gems have additive stats that won't have much of an impact on a powerful build at the end of the game. By multiplying these bonuses, Blizzard ensures that they will scale with the entire build, making them something players must actively consider in order to keep their character as powerful as possible.
The changes don't end there. Blizzard also changed each gem so they now have damage multipliers based on specific element types. For example, since Topaz now adds a bonus to lightning damage, it may become a popular option Diablo 4 Sorcerers building around Chain Lightning. It's about giving players more build options and reinforcing the importance of gems that were previously too easy to ignore.
