If you're a fan of Yacht Club Games, chances are you've heard that Mina the Hollower is set for release, only to be delayed to swoop down and crush those dreams. Such was the case last year, when Mina the Hollower was given an October 31st release date, only for the title to be delayed indefinitely just before its release.
Well, we're here to tell you that Mina the Hollower has officially gone gold, which means no more delays and a release date should be announced shortly.
Yacht Club Games revealed on social media that the game's content is complete and that the submission process has begun.

We'll know the final release date soon and you'll know as soon as we can share it. Thank you for being with us. “We will know the final release date soon and you will know as soon as we can share it,” the studio wrote. “Thanks for being with us. We can't wait to see you play!”
With the game being announced as early as 2022, complete with a Kickstarter campaign to help fund things, it's been a long time to say the least.
“Mina the Hollower is a bone-chilling action-adventure game featuring classic gameplay with an 8-bit Game Boy Color aesthetic, but adapted for the modern era,” Yacht Club Games' original announcement read in part.

Given past reports, it also couldn't come soon enough for Yacht Club Games, which seemingly relies on Mina the Hollower, to see much success.
Mina The Hollower is seemingly a remade title
In December, a Bloomberg report revealed that the Yacht Club Games were in serious financial peril. To stay independent, Mina the Hollower would need to be a rousing success, her numerous delays certainly won't help her.
“Sure, it's make-or-break,” studio founder Sean Velasco said. “If we sold 500,000 copies, then we'd be golden. If we sold even 200,000, that would be really great. If we sold like 100,000, it's not so good.”
As with many similar titles, the COVID-19 pandemic affected Yacht Club's ability to ramp up production of the next big title after the success of Shovel Knight. That, plus internal conflicts that created bottlenecks and eventually caused a change of director, didn't help matters either.
That it's finally gone Gold is a positive step forward. However, the Yacht Club is almost certainly waiting on sales numbers more than anything else.
