A new trailer released on the TOHO Animation YouTube channel this Saturday, following the final episode of Season 7, revealed that the 8th and final season My Hero Academia is set to air sometime in 2025. The trailer comes after an official statement confirmed the series' 8th season, as well as the crew that will be working on its production.
A brand new key visual was also revealed, showing series protagonist Izuku “Deku” Midoriya in a battered state with his costume torn from participating in the climactic battle against Tomura Shigaraki. The upcoming 8th season will complete the adaptation of the final arc of Kōhei Horikoshi's manga, which ended in August after 10 years of serialization. You can watch a short teaser below.

Along with a 2025 air date, the trailer also revealed some of the crew behind the final season's production My Hero Academiaincluding Kenji Nagasaki, who has been the series director since Season 1 and served as the main director since Season 4; director Naomi Nakayama; with series composition by Yōsuke Kuroda; character designs by Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima; music composition by Yuki Hayashi and of course animation production by Studio Bones.
Starring Daiki Yamashita as Deku, Kenta Miyake as All Might, Kōki Uchiyama as Tomura Shigaraki, Akio Otsuka & Hiroshi Kamiya as All For One, Ayane Sakura as Ochaco Uraraka, Kaito Ishikawa as Tenya Iida, and Yuki Kaji as Todoroki Shōto. At the time of writing, no exact premiere date has been released. Final season scheduled to air in 2025 My Hero Academia means that the anime will end within one year of the end of the manga.

Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from July 2014 to August 2024 in 41 volumes. It has sold over 100 million copies, making it one of the best-selling manga of all time and one of the leading titles that defined a generation of manga, taking over the mantle from the legendary Big Three of Shōnen Jump.
Produced by Studio Bones, the anime began airing in April 2016, and since then a new season of the series has been released every year.
