Leon S. Kennedy isn't just known for his round kicks. It is the basis of the Resident Evil game and appears in many games of the franchise.

Resident Evil Requiem Mode Shadow Drops Leon Must Die Forever

Resident Evil Requiem has now received an update that brings it to version 1.300.000 and with it a new free DLC called Leon Must Die Forever. Similar to Resident Evil 7In Ethan Must Die mode, players must face some of the toughest enemies in the game, this time exclusively as Leon. However, unlike Ethan Must Die, Leon Must Die Forever is a roguelike that tasks Leon with completing twenty levels without dying. Players start at level 1 on Main Street and work their way through the hordes of Raccoon City, eventually reaching enemies like The Commander, Super Tyrant, and Victor himself. Players should be aware that they will need to complete the game's main story to access this DLC.

According to the DLC's description, Leon has access to special abilities, including power-ups that can be used to improve the firepower of his weapons, the durability of his axe, and more. Players should look for glowing doors to advance to the next level, with enemies increasing in difficulty the higher the level Leon is. As with other roguelikes, dying means game over and starting over, so players should choose their upgrades and path carefully. Players can also use points from the main campaign to influence which random weapon is chosen, while power-ups can be obtained by killing enemies and clearing areas.

Although it's not story DLC Resident Evil Requiem fans have been waiting for, it doesn't even bring characters that players have been asking for like Ada Wong, the mode should offer some fun for those who want to pass the time. Players can complete 11 challenges and due to its rogue nature, the game mode can offer a lot of replayability for those who enjoy random challenges and finding the best paths and power-ups to overcome them. While the players are probably looking forward to what happens next Resident Evil story, this game mode can satisfy at least those who like Leon's action game Resident Evil Requiem.

Resident Evil Requiem was a huge success for Capcom, successfully bridging the gameplay between two disparate characters and play styles. However, several questions the game created still remain to be answered, such as who Leon S. Kennedy is married to. Players are also wondering if Grace will appear in the future Resident Evil game, or if she will be sidelined like a number of other actors who have appeared in the franchise over the years. With the developers stating that they are still working on the story DLC, it's likely that this will finally answer at least some lingering questions from the fanbase.
