In addition to the new missions, the update introduces a complex mechanic known as the Stone of Repentance. According to Team Ninja, this system allows players to bet on better gear by significantly increasing the difficulty of the game in exchange for improving the rarity and “+values” of their accessories. This is perfect for players who felt the initial experience was too much to handle and are looking for a way to use the game's deep penetrating mechanics against tougher enemies. Completing these new battle scrolls at a high level will grant players access to brand new skills and provide a tangible incentive to overcome the toughest challenges. Specifically, Team NINJA plans to improve “certain graces,” which are set bonuses that define many high-level player builds.
