Ocarina of Time Remake, a new open world game and a new 2D game

Three different ones The Legend of Zelda video game projects have been detailed by three separate leaks, meaning at least one (if not all) of them are probably bad, but each one is just as enticing as the next. Suffice it to say if all of these are The Legend of Zelda rumors and leaks turn out to be true, then the next few years could be a real treat for fans. And at least the timelines add up because Tears of the Kingdom he is officially 3 years old. That one hurts.

First The Legend of Zelda rumor, and apparently the most reliable, suggests that an Ocarina of Time remake is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this holiday season, so at least fans won't have long to wait for this one. Another hint that Ganondorf is getting his own 2D game, similar to Zelda itself Echoes of wisdom. Finally, a few details about the next one leaked out Zelda watching the game Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Travel back in time to save a princess in Ocarina of Time in 2026 (Wisdom)

Notorious leaker Nate the Hate has claimed that the big holiday game for the Nintendo Switch 2 this year will be a remake of Ocarina of Time, which is an exciting claim as one of the highest rated games of all time. Nate the Hate didn't say much more, but if it ends up being true, it's safe to assume that the reveal will come during Nintendo's big Summer Direct. Of course, that remains to be seen, but Nate the Hate made several other claims when they originally leaked Ocarina of Time Switch 2 remake, i.e. new Star Fox the game would be announced by Nintendo soon and that Splatoon Raiders came out in the summer of 2026. Both proved to be true, so keep your fingers crossed that Nate the Hate goes 3/3.

Pursue power as Ganondorf in a new 2D game in 2027 (Power)

Nash Weedle's record isn't as strong as Nate the Hate's, but it's still worth a listen, more so than many random users on the internet. According to them sometime after release Ocarina of Time remake, Nintendo reveals and confirms the new 2D Zelda game for 2027. Developed by Nintendo and Grezzo, this new game uses the same engine as Echoes of wisdom and will probably follow Ganondorf as the protagonist. It's not much, but it's easy to see how Ocarina of Time and the new Ganondorf game could be an epic 1-2 punch similar to the 2023 games Tears of the Kingdom and 2024 Echoes of wisdom.

I recently marathoned the Legend of Zelda Games and here are my official rankings

The Legend of Zelda is a classic franchise that I've missed over the years, so their marathon allowed me to form my own opinion on many of the classics.

Tear Through Reality in Next Legend of Zelda Open World in 2028 or Beyond (Courage)

Finally, there's another major 3D entry in the main line The Legend of Zelda franchise, it is said to use the same engine as Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom (with improvements) by Spheshal Nick. Nick's track record is pretty solid in most regards, so I'd rank his claim next to Nate The Hate. It will take place in the same world as BotW and TotKthough it is uncertain whether this would be an increasingly rare trilogy in the franchise, and it will expand the realm of Hyrule to new dimensions. This dimension changing game is also used to complete puzzles by creating tears in reality. Nick gives two primary examples: using a charging bull in one dimension to hit a target and open a door in a new one; using the water in one dimension to overflow into the other and flood the pool-like room.

Jeff Grubb was talking to Nick on the XboxEra Podcast when Nick revealed this information from the source, and even though Grubb didn't have the information himself, it made perfect sense to him. In fact, Grubb said that it's about 2-3 years away in late 2025 (putting it at 2027-2029) makes sense to him, considering Tears of the Kingdomrelease date and overall game development for Nintendo.

The Tri-Force of Zelda Game Leaks

Overall, it's worth noting that all of these games should be taken with a grain of salt, but the way they're neatly lined up (Ocarina of Time remake in 2026, Ganondorf in 2027 and open world Zelda game sometime after) is interesting because he doesn't seem any more coordinated than Nash Weedle, who is aware that Ocarina of Time redo the escape. That remains to be seen, but let's hope so Ocarina of Time a remake will be confirmed sooner rather than later. This does not necessarily add credibility to these others Zelda games, especially since they all come from different leakers, but it would add a little more weight to getting the idea right.

When and where that will happen is unknown at the time of writing. We can only speculate that this will happen at the Nintendo Direct in June, given the Summer Game Fest, Xbox Games Showcase, and PlayStation State of Play, but Nintendo hasn't even confirmed that yet.
