Valiant it's full of different agents and abilities that players are constantly trying to keep up with. As Riot Games tries to consistently keep up with the latest Meta and find ways to balance it out between Agents, some abilities become more overpowered than others.

Constant patches change which Valiant Abilities are the best, but there are certain abilities among different agents that give players who can use them huge advantages. Some of the uses of certain abilities are situational, but some abilities are always useful to have on hand.

Although an individual ability doesn't necessarily make an agent one of the best in the game, some of these abilities are still game-changers in the right situation. Valorant is a strategic game and trying to maintain balance is a constant task that requires constant supervision. Because of this, this article will continue to receive updates as abilities in Valorant are constantly changing.

1 Viper's Pit

A unique ability that offers tremendous protection

• Allows Viper to hide an active spike inside
• Decayes Enemies to make them easy to pick off

Viper's ultimate creates a huge poisonous cloud that covers a large area. This allows the Viper to hide inside and protect the spike if it is active, or alternatively instead. Either way, it completely blocks enemies from the area as long as Viper stays inside, and destroys enemies that step inside, so any fight is a big plus for Viper.

Due to his abilities, especially this ultimate, Viper holds the title of the best spike defender in the game Valiant. Enemies that enter Viper's Pit will have reduced visibility and so little health that Viper can easily shut them down. Facing multiple enemies and pinning seems much more likely with Viper's Pit, making it one of the most consistently overpowerable ultimates in the game.

2 Dimensional Drift (Yoru)

The best tool for sneaking around enemies

• It allows an invulnerable state to escape from situations
• Other abilities still work when ranked

Few ultimates can move the wheel towards a player like Yoru's Dimensional Drift. This ability allows Yor to enter an invulnerable, invisible state long enough to get out of an area or sneak up behind certain enemies to catch them unawares.

While Yoru is drifting, he can still use additional abilities, allowing him to blind enemies for teammates or allow himself time to come out of the drift and kill them unawares. This creates a brutal ultimate that can turn heads. Yoru's abilities already make him a powerful agent, but in particular, it can destroy an entire enemy team if used correctly and in conjunction with allies.

3 Devour (Reyna)

A Self-Heal For A Duelist Makes Her Ridiculously Strong

• Allows Reyna to absorb the Soul Orb of a slain enemy
• Temporarily makes health more expensive for Dogfight Advantage

Reyna is considered one of the best individual characters in the game. If the team works well together, they can even take down Reyna's great player. But in a situation where both teams are doing their thing, Reyna is devastating. Devour is one of the best abilities in the game as it allows Reyna to heal herself using an enemy corpse.

This ability makes Reyna very difficult to beat when she's on a rampage, and especially at lower levels, players will often find Reyna near the top of the leaderboard as one of the best duelist characters in the game. Valiant for racking up kills almost continuously as rounds pass. Devour isn't Reyna's only cool ability, but it's one that allows her to trade health in duels and regain that health to be at full strength again for more one-on-one battles.

4 Killjoy

An ultimate that can completely destroy the enemy team's turn

• A device that paralyzes all enemies in a large scale
• Can stop enemies approaching the activated spike

Killjoy's ultimate, named after her, has steadily become a more powerful and vital game-changing ability over recent patches. Since Chamber was brutally nerfed by Riot Games, Killjoy is the best Sentinel in the game and her ultimate is a major part of what makes her great.

The ultimate uses a wide range attack that contains and completely paralyzes enemy players caught in it. This can be used when the spike is deployed to drive away all opposition, and almost no enemy utility can destroy it before the lock is complete.

5 Trip Wire (Cypher)

The best way to watch the return of the team without wasting agents

• Can interrupt enemies trying to sneak behind the team
• Alerts players and prepares them for danger

Cypher has always been a great character on a Valiant team, mainly due to the frustration of trying to sneak up behind him. Cypher's shutdown wire is a valuable tool to prevent enemies from getting close to him often.

While valuable in its own right, tripwire can also be used to block enemies in a rush to enter the location Cypher is holding. Adding this to his camera and other gadgets makes Cypher a deadly opponent who will try to gain an advantage for any player or character.

6 Updraft (Jett)

It allows players to achieve all kinds of positions

Jett is one of the most popular agents Valiant. Meta changes constantly shift the landscape of which characters are the best in pro, but Jett is almost always one of the best duelists in the game. At present, it is more or less undeniable.

With new maps released where she thrives and a moveset that's always devastating, Jett is one of the biggest agents in Valiant. Her updraft ability is huge and allows her to get quickly and easily to places inaccessible to almost every other agent in the game.

7 Wingman (Gekko)

Gekko is one of the newest agents in the Valiant and even though the Meta can change at any time, it is still considered very overpowered. His Wingman ability is one of the most unique ideas that Riot Games has added to the character's ability, it has several uses, but one in particular can be devastating.

When Gekko has a spike, Wingman can take it and plant it, allowing him to continue firing at enemies in the meantime. It can also disable spike for him, which is completely ridiculous and will possibly be nerfed in the future. This ability is great for new players trying to learn how to get points quickly.

8 Leer (Reyna)

One of the most effective blinds in the game

• Allows Reyna to throw a blind through walls
• It's shootable, but it's distracting enough to make a difference

Reyna makes a reappearance for this move, which can devastate players, again used more at lower levels of play than pro. Even so, Leer is an overwhelming move that is incredibly difficult to deal with. It blinds enemies and can be shot through walls, but can be destroyed by enemies.

The problem is that this weakness is actually another strength. Enemies will either be blinded or snap to destroy the leer, allowing Reyna to dash around the corner and hit them while they're distracted. Either way, Reyna gets the advantage and wins with minimal danger to herself.

9 Owl (Shock Arrow)

Allows Owl to root out enemies hidden in corners

• A damaging AOE shot
• It can bounce multiple times and grab enemies

Owl is another agent that has long been considered one of the best Valiant. Despite nerves limiting some of his abilities in the past, Sova has remained near the top of his game. Part of that is the incredible versatility of abilities like Shock Arrow.

This damaging AOE projectile can be fired from the Owl's bow, with the player choosing how many times it bounces before landing. This is one of the trickiest pieces of equipment to deal with Valiantbut it's worth it as one of the best because it can hit many places, eliminating enemies hiding in many hard-to-reach corners.
