Silent Hill 2 Remake Studio is working on 7 more horror games

Piotr Babieno, CEO of the developer Bloober teamjust confirmed that the studio has seven games currently in development. While the Bloober Team previously talked about three of these titles being in development, the remaining four are still shrouded in mystery.

Bloober Team has come a long way since its inception in 2008. While the Polish studio started making portable games with Nibris, it really started to make a name for itself in the late 2010s with horror releases like Layers of fear, Observerand Blair Witch. Bloober Team has continued to capitalize on its psychological horror niche throughout early 2020, releasing games like Medium, Layers of fear remake and its two most recent and acclaimed titles, Silent Hill 2 remake and Cronos: A New Dawn.

  • Project M — Exclusive Nintendo consoles
  • 4 unannounced projects

Bloober Team's continued growth reached a new milestone today. Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno has just confirmed in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz that the studio and its subsidiaries are currently working on a total of seven video game projects. Babieno also confirmed that Bloober Team is moving to a multi-project structure, in which its two first-party production teams will work on two games simultaneously. Explaining the decision to move to a multi-project structure, Babieno told GamesIndustry.biz the following:

“We don't want less than two productions because relying on a single title creates too much risk in today's market. But we also don't want more because quality, focus and creative oversight would inevitably suffer. For us, two flagship productions is the right balance between ambition and responsibility.”

According to Babien himself, the two first-party Bloober Team studios are working on “what defines Bloober Team: single-player horror experiences with strong gameplay foundations, premium execution, and themes that resonate on a deeper emotional or social level.” The two projects are believed to be “Project H” and “Project M”, two games that Bloober Team mentioned earlier but have yet to be fully revealed. While Project H is said to be the studio's new flagship title and a brand new, original IP, Project M is said to be a Nintendo console exclusive.

Along with expanding their first-party studios, Bloober Team is also looking to expand their subsidiary studio, Broken Mirror Games. Five games are reportedly in “various stages of development” at Broken Mirror Games, with one recently announced Layers of Fear 3. It is currently unclear what the other four projects are, although it was confirmed in October 2025 that Remake of Silent Hill 1 went into full production at Bloober Team.

Bloober Team has expanded its leadership team

To better accommodate this multi-project shift and the continued growth of the company, Bloober Team has appointed three new leaders. Thaine Lyman, former senior leader of Activision and Wargaming, became the new head of the Bloober Team studio. Katya Baukova, who has previous experience with both Techland and CD Projekt Red, is now Bloober Team's Director of Business Development. And the former CEO of the independent studio Klabater SA, Michał Gembicki, is the new head of the Bloober publishing house.
