Multiplayer action adventure game South Park: Snow Day has launched two different DLC packs that provide plenty of new ways to play, including the addition of a stealth-focused weapon type. The arrival of the Good Times with Weapons and Nichole's Home Brew Story packs marks the first new DLC for South Park: Snow Day from the beginning of August.

South Park: Snow Day was released on March 26, 2024, and has already seen a steady stream of 13 different DLC packs released since its launch. The game continues the story set by the previous one South Park games The stick of truth and Broken but wholeputs players back in the role of The New Kid and has them interact with fantasy-themed versions of the kids from the Colorado town, such as Princess Kenny and the wizard version of Cartman. Unlike these turn-based RPGs though Snow day shifted the gameplay to a four-player, team-based action-adventure format with groups made up of a combination of humans and robots.

While the game launched with only three melee weapons to choose from, previous DLC packs added hammer and sickles to mix up the gameplay. With the Good Times with Weapons pack, named after the famous, anime-inspired episode of the animated series, players can extend their wand weapon and throw ninja stars at their enemies. Adding stealth-based weapons to the v South Park: Snow Dayadditional power-up cards will appear as players progress through the levels, giving them options such as increased speed, dealing more damage with each subsequent hit, or becoming invisible to enemies for a short period of time. The pack also comes with five new cosmetic options, including a ninja star for the eye and one emote.

In addition to the new weapon, expand the combat styles of the squad as you play South Park: Snow Day with a team of friends, Nichole's Home Brew Pack brings five new rulesets for players to choose from to increase the game's difficulty and develop new strategies. For example, the Air Superiority rules give players a permanent Moon Shoes buff, increasing the damage done by ranged weapons while nerfing melee attacks, while The Floor is Lava places damage zones all over the games map. This pack contains seven different cosmetic accessories, four of which reflect the main character's in-game hats.


Those longing for the days of South Park's more classic turn-based games are also in luck if they own an Xbox Series X or S. South Park: The Fractured But Whole came to Xbox Game Pass on October 16, allowing fans of the series to catch up on The New Kid's history and experience the series' gameplay in a much different format.
