Sparking Zero Leak Reveals Martial Arts DLC

Key things

  • We already know that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is getting at least three DLC packs as post-launch content.
  • However, it's possible that more is in the works, as a “martial arts pack” has been spotted on SteamDB.
  • While it could just be the name of the Daima or Super: Super Hero DLC, some fans think it could be a hint of OG Dragon Ball content.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is seemingly getting a “martial arts pack” as DLC, which some fans believe will include more characters from the original Dragon Ball.

One of the most impressive things about Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is undoubtedly its massive 182 character roster. Before launch, fans were sure that characters from GT and the various non-canon Dragon Ball movies would not be featured, but Spike Chunsoft surprised us all by getting almost everyone there. Apologies to Super 17 fans.

Just like the request for Shenron, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is pure wish fulfillment and exactly what fans have spent a decade and a half waiting for.

Believe it or not, that list will eventually grow. Sparking Zero will receive at least three post-launch DLC packs that will add more than 20 new characters from Dragon Ball Daima and Super: Super Hero. That in itself is exciting enough, but it seems like there could be even more.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Gets 'Martial Arts' DLC

As noted by Twitter user ProDigitalYa recent update for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has been spotted and listed on SteamDB. The update added all of the game's current DLC packs to the database, including anime music packs, pre-order bonuses, Ultimate Edition upgrades, and more. This in itself is not that exciting, but it becomes more interesting when you notice the “martial arts package”.

There is currently no Martial Arts Pack available for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, so it appears that SteamDB has caught the upcoming piece of DLC and listed it in its database. That just leaves the question of what the martial arts pack actually is, as it's not something Bandai has revealed yet.

While it's possible that this is the name of one of the Daima or Super: Super Hero packs, there's a chance that it's something else entirely. Some fans speculated that it could just be martial arts themed clothing or costumes, while some, such as Twitter user AwarenaNoAyoubi think this is a hint of more original Dragon Ball content.

OG Dragon Ball is currently woefully underrepresented in Sparking Zero, standing out as the weaker part of the roster with just Goku (Teen) at launch. I think it's much more likely that this is just a name used for the Daima or Super: Super Hero pack, but the OG Dragon Ball expansion could add characters like King Piccolo, Chi-Chi, Arale and, if the gods are smiling on us, Kid Krillin .
