Roblox Steal and Brainrot Dev Sues Fortnite Game Creator
Unfortunately, it seems to be outrageously popular Steal the Brainrot leading to a copycat appearing within Fortnite. Developer Spyder Games, who created the original Steal Brainrot Roblox game, filed a lawsuit against an individual named Thomas Van Der Voort, the creator of a Fortnite game called Stealing Brainrots. Spyder Games claims Stealing Brainrots is an imitation of the game itself, Steal the Brainrotand violates his copyright. The game appeared in Fortnite in July, and Spyder Games' legal representation claims that the title has been copied Steal the Brainrot“trademarks”, including art and game design. Spyder Games' goal is to get the game away Fortnite platform and any profits generated from it to be passed on to the original developer Roblox game. At the time of writing, the map appears to have been disabled Fortnitethough it's unclear whether this was a move on Epic Games' part or the developer's Stealing Brainrots.
While the main goal of the developer seems to be to protect the original Roblox Steal Brainrot game, take down Stealing Brainrots it will probably help someone else Fortnite title. Next version Roblox Steal Brainrot game, so called Steal the Brainrotis an officially licensed version that has permission to run on Fortnite platform. Given the similarity in titles, themes, and gameplay, it's entirely possible that some Fortnite players have encountered alleged violations Stealing Brainrots instead of playing Steal the Brainrot. While Steal the Brainrot has been quite a success Fortniteremoval Stealing Brainrots would likely direct even more players to the licensed title.
Since this case was only filed on October 23rd, she has yet to receive an official public response from the developer behind the alleged copycat game. It remains to be seen if the defendant will attempt to challenge the lawsuit, but given the nearly identical titles and extremely similar gameplay, it would likely be difficult for Van Der Voort to win in that event. Meanwhile, players who may have stumbled across Stealing Brainrots you might want to check out the officially licensed ones Steal the Brainrot in Fortniteor the original version v Roblox.
