In an open world Genshin Impact, there are many characters to consider. From offense to defense, players should know how to play each position to get the most out of the experience. This is especially true when it comes to healers, the last line of hope when all else has failed.
You'll have a huge roster of characters to choose from, with new ones being added frequently. Although healers are mainly expected to serve as a support role, their abilities can make them more adaptable to a variety of situations, from dealing extra damage to using shields to hitting tanks.
Updated May 29, 2026 Gabrielle Castania: Over time, any meta character in Genshin Impact is bound to change as new characters are introduced, so we'll be updating this list and adding more characters for you to choose from!

Mountain is a shining example of character being what you make it. In order to heal his Elemental Burst, you'll need to unlock Gorou's fourth Constellation. However, once you do, you'll heal active characters in Gorou's AoE for 50 percent of his defense stat whenever General Glory is in Impregnable or Crunch.

Genshin Impact: The best team members for Goura
These teammates will help you get the most out of Genshin's first Geo Bow user, Watatsumi General Gorou.
Obviously, there are a lot of conditions for Gorou to become a healer, but the amount of healing he does once you build him up is worth the effort. Since healing is half of his defense stat, this means you'll still have a strong Gorou to use defensively, encouraging you to further increase that stat to make him the best healer possible.

C1: Plan to get paid |
Swirl is one of the better elemental reactions in Genshin Impact, able to link with practically every other element and deal all kinds of damage on the field, but if you need it coupled with some excellent healing,
Strawberry z Nod-Krai update is your best bet.
She's best paired with other Nod-Krai characters for damage, but her healing abilities come with an Elemental Master Buff, so she's worth pairing with your strongest elementalists for all sorts of useful reasons.

Mike's specialty is support, especially for characters like Eula who often use physical attacks. It can increase ATK SPD and physical DMG of characters as well as heal them. His Elemental Burst gives all characters in the party a burst of healing based on his Max HP. After that, the active character enters the Eagleplume state, where normal attacks that hit the opponent regenerate some HP every 2.5 seconds.
Mike's first Constellation further shortens the healing intervals of his Burst, and his fourth generates three Energy Particles every time a character in Eagleplume is healed. If you want a character that can heal and support the team at the same time,
mike is definitely a good choice.

Sayu has access to many dynamic abilities. In addition to her attacks, her Elemental Burst has incredible healing and support potential. Deals Anemo damage to nearby enemies while also healing her allies. The amount restored is based on Sayu's ATK.
Additionally, when you get her to level 20, she unlocks a passive where she heals her party members for 300 HP every time she triggers a Swirl reaction. The more Elemental Mastery he has, the more extra HP he heals. With her mobility Elemental Skill, Sayu can be a good healer in scouting teams.

Not only is it
Lauma one of the better Dendro characters we've gotten so far in Genshin Impact, able to use the Bloom and Lunar-Bloom reactions characteristic of Nod-Krai characters to deal impressive damage, but her first constellation makes her a pretty powerful healer as well.
You'll need to pull her twice to get Lauma's healing ability, which heals nearby party members for 500 percent of Lauma's Elemental Mastery stat, so it's worth building it up with her artifacts to get the most bang for your buck, especially since Lauma is a five-star character, so she's harder to pull off than others.
Noelle

Geo |

Breast (Essential Skill) |
Noelle he's one of the first characters you get when you start Genshin Impact, and as such, he's one of the first healers available to you. She can be a strong source of damage in your party, but that doesn't take away from her ability to heal. As a proper knight and maid, she tries to be as helpful as possible to those around her, and this is most evident when you activate her shield through her Elemental Skill.
Not only does her Elemental Skill deal Geo damage externally, but it also gives her normal and charged attacks healing properties whenever they successfully hit a targeted opponent. When this happens, every member of your party, whether on the field or not, will be healed based on Noelle's Defense total stat. Like Gorou, this builds up Noelle's defense stat to make her a better healer, making her versatile.

Through his elemental skill,
Baizhu releases a Gossamer Sprite that deals damage to nearby enemies. Once this Sprite has attacked three times or cleared the area of enemies you want to target, it will return to Baizhu and heal any nearby teammates.
How much the Sprite heals is reduced by Baizhu's maximum HP, so how effective this move is depends on your attention to Baizhu's health. Unlike Gorou and Noelle, who can be used effectively in a variety of ways, Baizhu is best suited as your team's healer. His character is even introduced in the story as the owner of Bubu's Pharmacy, cementing his mastery of medicine and healing.
Ifa

Prevention of airborne diseases (Essential Skill) |
Another good Anemo user capable of implementing Swirl reactions, Ifa is a good all-around teammate capable of all kinds of uses in your team. Whether you need a traversal character, someone good for constant attacks, or a spot of healing for the unit.
While definitely not the best healer overall in Genshin Impact, Ifa is a great way to get some healing bonuses into an otherwise offensive team. Increase his elemental mastery to ensure the best healing abilities for Ifa, and you'll be glad you did.

Sky Raphanus (Essential Skill) |

Descent of the Moonjade (Elemental Burst) |
Yaoyao she was Genshin Impact's first dendro healer, which allowed her to fill a special slot if you wanted a healer that could perform Dendro reactions, and gave you plenty of time to make her as ferocious as possible. Her Elemental Skill throws out White Jade radishes that can either hit opponents or heal active characters based on her Max HP, depending on whether the character's HP is greater or less than 70 percent.
Her Elemental Burst is similar except it does both at once regardless of HP and now heals the entire party. Both abilities also apply Dendro to enemies that are hit with Radishes, making Yaoyao an excellent and unique option for both healing and applying Dendro.
Dori

Accuracy of Alcazarzaray (Elemental Burst) |
Dori is a cunning merchant hailing from Port Ormos and can get you almost anything for the right price. True to her design, she summons a Jinni to the field when you use her Elemental Burst. This Jinni will bond with your active character when nearby and heal them based on Doria's HP.
You'll also deal damage to opponents if they're on a trail and connect with you and the Jinni, and your character will constantly regenerate some energy. Due to her HP and energy boost, Dori can be great with characters that have high energy requirements.
