Mermaids were introduced with the Island Living Expansion in 2019 and were one of the first occultists to be added to The Sims 4. They are very low maintenance compared to some other occult games and are also some of the most demanding. inconspicuous looking.

The world of Sulani is beautiful, the build items are great, and the Sim creation items are cute, but there is a bit of untapped potential with the mermaids. However, with the help of some very talented Simmers, life as a mermaid Sim can be much more interesting.

Expanded Mermaids Mod

With the Expanded Mermaids Mods, SpinningPlumbobs is adding a lot to the game to make mermaids more like occult vampires and werewolves. For example, mermaid experience and ranks are included, similar to other occultists who need XP to unlock and gain perks.

Also included are other types of mermaids such as sea witches and kelpies, each with their own distinct abilities and interactions. Now you can also discover mermaid mythology with this mod to become the best mermaid possible. This mod adds many missing potential elements to the expansion pack.

Arcane Illusions Mermaid Lunae

If you're happy with the mod itself, or if you already have all the required mermaid content mods, why not customize your mermaid a bit more? DanSimsFantasy has created some amazing options for mermaids in CAS.

Available with this mod, they added one long mermaid tail that comes with 44 different options and one top with 41 different options. The new mermaid tail is stunning on its own, but add toppings to take any mermaid Sim to the next level.

Merfolk Cove Lot Property

For whatever reason, there aren't many mermaids by default in The Sims 4, so they're hard to find. Plus, asking someone if they're a mermaid can cost your Sims friendship points. So that's why Merfolk Cove was created.

With this mod, any lot that is a beach in Sulani has the option of having the Merfolk Cove Lot feature, which means mermaids will gather here to hang out. This party gives positive buffs to Mermaid Sims and after visiting, your Sims will trust other mermaids.

Mermaid theme tweak

If you believe that mermaids should be able to take care of all their needs by interacting with the ocean, then the Mermaid Motive Tweak mod is for you. With this mod, your mermaid won't have to leave the water to fulfill her needs unless you want her to.

In addition to already being able to sleep in the ocean and keep their mermaid hydrated, your Sims can now free-dive for food, relieve themselves in the ocean, and meet their social needs faster by interacting with dolphins. Now your mermaid can hang out in the ocean all day.

Mermaid Tail Laminaria

Again, if you've been looking for some new CAS options, this might be the next mod for you. While the few options we have for mermaid tails are great, this one is a little more fantastical and seems to blend in seamlessly with the Sims skin.

One new tail is added with this mod, but it comes with 37 different colors to choose from. The colors and styles are stunning and most options are two-tone. So live out your Sims' mermaid dreams with these new tail options.

IL-sirens

This mod should have been added alongside the Expanded Mermaids mod, but is not required. IL-Sirens adds sirens that need blood to survive. So if you've been wanting to lure other Sims into the ocean to drink from it, or lead them to their demise, you can finally do it.

This mod requires two other mods to work. You can also find these mods on their Patreon.

To become a mermaid, your Sims must already be a mermaid, but then they must eat the Mermaid Algae, which gives them a thirst for blood. Sirens are capable of killing other Sims, so be as careful or reckless as you like.

Aspiration of a mermaid

One of the most remarkable things about almost all occults is the aspiration that comes with them. This will help you get through your first playthrough with an Occult Sim and give you extra Aspiration Points. Fortunately, MarlynSims has created some aspirations that you can experience with their mod.

Three separate mermaid aspirations are available with this mod. These include; Ariel, who is a mermaid who is fascinated by the human world; A siren who wants to seduce other Sims for better or for worse; and the Mermaid Experience, which is basically being a mermaid.

When you think of mermaids, you think of their scales, long tails, and beautiful hair. While the base game's hair is nice, no mermaid is complete without amazing hair, and Oydis' mod provides exactly that.

Includes eight different hairs along with small flowers that can be added to either side of the head. Some of the options include split hair coloring that would look amazing on any mermaid. It should be noted that earrings are not compatible with these hairstyles, but hats are.
