From their peaceful existence to their involvement in some of the series' most intense battles, the Namekians have played a pivotal role in the Dragon Ball universe. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero features several Namekian characters, each bringing their own unique abilities to the table.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero – 8 Best Transformations
From Goku going Super Saiyan with multiple hair colors to Frieza achieving his various forms, these are the best transformations in Sparking Zero.
Whether it's Piccolo's iconic battles or the menacing presence of Lord Slug, these characters offer different play styles. While some are stronger than others, each Namekian adds something special to the game, not to mention that the Dragon Balls are a Namekian creation, which means we owe them the namesake of the series.
6 Dende and Namek the elder
You didn't know they were in the game, did you?
While these two Namekians are not playable characters, they are technically in the game and you can use them to animate different scenes. Sure, it would be cool to throw down as Dende, but the peaceful Namekian is more at home as a healer than a fighter.
The mode in question where you can use them is Custom Battle, something that Sparking Zero offers players to create their own stories in the Dragon Ball universe. Dende even has an adult version for when the party needs to talk to the guardian of Earth's dragon balls.
You can also choose other characters in this mode, like Bulma or the leader of the Angels, but the Namekians are the closest to civilians, so they are perfect for a large number of scenes.
5 Nail
A loyal warrior if outmatched
A Namek guardian warrior, Nail was one of the first Namekians to challenge Frieza during the Namek Saga. In Sparking Zero, Nail brings solid, well-rounded fighting skills, but lacks the raw power of the more advanced characters on this list, not to mention that his basic punches and grabs look similar to Piccolo's.
Something that has always shined with Nail is his style, which makes him feel like a completely different character than Piccolo, even though all Namekians look so similar. His ultimate is a great counter to his strong stance against Frieza, but other than that there isn't much else to this brave soul.
4 Lord Slug (Giant Form)
Slow
Lord Slug, one of the oldest and cruelest Namekians, can enter his giant form in his Sparking Zero iteration. Piccolo once had this ability, but only during the series; the two piccolos present in Sparking Zero were never that big since it was something he did before the Z era and recently after he achieved his orange transformation.
While this form of Lord Slug makes him more powerful and healthier, it also makes him much slower and removes much of the magic that his base form had. Still, it has some uses, especially with its immunity to grabs and most dashes.
3 Piccolo
The early days of the Proud Warrior
Piccolo from the Saiyan saga is a solid mid-level character in Sparking Zero, slightly overshadowed by his more modern version. During this period in the series, Piccolo was still growing into his role as a hero, and his abilities in the game reflect this, as he has yet to finish training with Gohan and become close to the young Saiyan.

A ranking worthy of royalty.
It has powerful energy-based attacks, such as a special beam cannon that can break through most other blast attacks. His other attacks, such as Explosive Demon Wave, lack the range and utility that could make this a worthwhile version of Namekian.
2 Piccolo (fused with Kami)
The ultimate Namekian Warrior
Piccolo's bond with Kami is one of the defining moments in Dragon Ball Z, and in Sparking Zero this version of Piccolo represents his ultimate power. After the fusion, Piccolo becomes much stronger and more intelligent, gaining access to powerful abilities and superior fighting techniques.
He still has access to his deadly special beam cannon, which retains the ultimate attack characteristics of his older version, but comes out much faster, allowing him to reliably use it to combat his enemies. Since his older form and the nail share similar moves, this version of Piccolo is the most realized version of the fighter.
1 Lord Slug
Ruthless conqueror
If you're interested in the Namekians more as a concept than a fan of a specific character, then Lord Slug is a surprisingly better choice, surpassing Piccolo. This is because he has more things that make him uniquely Namekian through his moveset, unlike Piccolo who, while wielding several signature moves, lacks some of the defining characteristics of the alien race.
One of these aspects is the throw, which uses the stretching nature of the Namekians to grab the opponent's back after the throw and continue the punishment. This is something Piccolo's forms were able to do in the old Tenkaichi games, but unfortunately he lost his flexibility.
Another purely Namekian aspect of Slug is his ability to transform into a giant. As you'll notice, we've already gone over the mold and why it's not so great, but that's when you look at it in a vacuum; when you use this form to finish off your enemies, you're mostly taking advantage of its strengths without worrying too much about the negatives.
