SVD stands out among Black Ops 6 assembly as the only sniper rifle that does not have a bolt. Instead, the SVD is semi-automatic, similar to a sniper rifle, but still offers damage numbers similar to those of its bolt-action counterparts. It is unlocked relatively early in the leveling path, given the low experience required per level, up until level 30. It has an above-average magazine capacity and average downrange speed, with best-in-class rate of fire (due to its semi-automatic nature).

Call of Duty Black Ops 6: 6 Best New Features
These are some of the best new features in Call of Duty Black Ops 6.
Sniper rifles in Black Ops 6 are significantly more unwieldy compared to previous titles, including generally slower crosshair speed when pointing down and significant crosshairs when aiming, making centering difficult. This, coupled with the flinch received when the player is shot while aimed, makes sniper rifles a difficult weapon class to use. With all that said, the SVD exasperates these issues due to its semi-automatic nature, including much more recoil and a slow recoil reset time, making accuracy very difficult. Damage, while high at range, often becomes inconsistent at longer ranges, making quick kills difficult.

The LW3A1 Frostline is inspired by the actual L115 included Call of Duty series already as L96A1 in the first Black Ops game. However, in that game, Frostline's counterpart was incredibly damaging, unlike Frostline itself. Instead, the Frostline is a faster firing and easier to control sniper rifle that deals less damage but is faster overall. Players unlock the LW3A1 Frostline by default, which gives plenty of time to level up the weapon.
The LW3A1 Frostline excels as a faster sniper, dealing less damage overall but boasting a high rate of fire compared to its flash action counterpart and a faster ADS (point down sight) speed. It's a one-shot hull kill, but has some ranged damage, so it's somewhat inconsistent. It especially excels when built even more for speed, using a rapid-fire ammo attachment along with a laser that eliminates initial ADS swings.
What the Frostline lacks in damage, it makes up for in speed and maneuverability, making it far more lethal in the hands of a swift who tries to get in close with sniper rifles. The Frostline's main downside is its lack of accuracy and damage drop, meaning it isn't as solid as the LR 7.62 when engaging at range, forcing players into a more aggressive playstyle.

The LR 7.62 Sniper Rifle suffers slightly from being unlocked later, meaning players have less time to level it if they opt for prestige and use their unlock token on something else. That said, players can get the Onyx Echo Blueprint for 7.62 LR at the start of the campaign as a reward for completing the “Hunting Season” and “The Cradle” missions. This plan permanently unlocks LR 7.62, which means it's much more accessible than it first appears. The LR 7.62 has higher ranged damage, but suffers from lower base ADS speed and rate of fire.
Despite the shortcomings of the base variant, LR 7.62 certainly has a higher potential ceiling, partly due to its high base damage. This, coupled with accessories, makes the LR 7.62 the most consistent and lethal sniper rifle in Black Ops 6.

GobbleGums are back in Black Ops 6 and players can see some powerful benefits with the right set of candies.
To increase the rate of fire, players can use a rapid-fire bolt attachment to combine with a heavy stock to reduce recoil, and a tactical laser to eliminate initial sight wobble. Players can then utilize accessories such as the Quick Draw Grip and Precision Barrel to further increase accuracy and speed.
When built well, especially when using the gunfighter wild card which allows for 8 attachments, the LR 7.62 is by far the best sniper rifle in Black Ops 6. It excels when used as a traditional long-range sniper, as well as in the hands of a swift-footed who intends to engage in close combat.

Players can unlock this weapon as part of Season One Reloaded's Christmas event called Archie's Festival Frenzy. Players must earn Jolly Archies by getting kills in multiplayer and zombies or by opening caches in Warzone. After collecting enough Archies to unlock 12 event rewards, players will receive AMR Mod 4.
The AMR Mod 4 is a semi-automatic sniper rifle that benefits from all the positives of other semi-automatic rifles such as the SVD, but has none of its drawbacks. It is incredibly powerful, often landing one-hit kills from range and body parts that only firearms could. This, combined with the rate of fire, makes even the basic AMR Mod 4 an incredibly powerful weapon. However, its power increases further when players equip it for faster manipulation and aiming speed. When designed with these aspects in mind, the AMR Mod 4 is by far the most powerful sniper rifle Black Ops 6.
