The Lord of Hatred Warlock Build is basically a demon meat grinder

WITH Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred finally released, fans can now get their hands on the brand new Warlock class. The Warlock is already shaping up to be one of the strongest classes in all Diablo 4with access to Demon Summoning, Hellfire skills, and a Mystic Sign to support her game. Based on what has been achieved so far, there is one Warlock archetype that emerges as the most powerful of the class, relying on summoning demons and instantly sending them to slaughter.

Building a wizard Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred it looks a lot different than what players are used to from previous seasons Diablo 4as the game has seen a massive overhaul of the skill tree, removing passives and adding additional nodes for each skill. This change allows players to customize their specific build even more than previously possible, while also opening the door for a more diverse build meta. Without a prior frame of reference, it can be hard to know how well this new skill tree will affect Warlock, but all signs initially point to the summoner archetype using Legion Shard and Demonology Skills being the most broken of the class.

Diablo 4's skill tree update: Lord of Hatred has a clear winner

Diablo 4's revamped Skill Tree is a key part of the Lord of Hatred update, and one class benefits from the changes more than any other.

Summoner Warlock builds are overpowered in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred

Built-in pure summoner Diablo 4 it can be difficult to make usable deep into the endgame, and the Summoner Necromancer and Druid builds never really stood out that season. The Witcher looks like a first chance Diablo 4 players will need to build a true summon-focused lineup with the potential to wipe out the endgame. With an entire playstyle dedicated to summoning demons that can be used as weapons, most Diablo 4 Warlock builds will likely revolve around making the most of these summons with Warlock's Skill Tree modifiers and new Uniques.

The best wizard skills to use on Summoner Warlocks

  • Command Fallen

  • Bombing

  • Rampage

  • Sigil of Summons

Command Fallen is one of Warlock's core skills, but could play a key role in making this build successful in Diablo 4 Meta Season 13. With this skill, wizards can send out summoned fallen lunatics that charge at enemies and explode for 80% damage. With the Damage Per Demon modifier, Command Fallen deals 1% increased damage for each active demon the Warlock has up to x20%, and the Meat Shields modifier summons a Fallen Lunatic per second based on the Warlock's attack speed. The goal here is to constantly go through the demons by spamming Command Fallen as much as possible.

The basic skill for this build is Bombardment, which basically uses demons as projectiles, with four of them hitting the ground for 40% damage each. With the additional demon upgrade, the total number of Bombardment demons will increase to 5, giving the Warlock more fodder for slaughter as they move around the Skovos region. Between Command Fallen and Bombardment, players should be able to constantly summon and kill demons, which will ultimately help jumpstart their build.

Rampage is an incredibly powerful skill for Warlocks that can be run on almost any build, but is especially strong for Legion Shard summoning Warlocks. This skill summons rampaging brutes that deal massive damage over 10 seconds, and with the Demon Masher upgrade, it also crushes the Warlock's own lesser demons and gives them Fortify.

Sigil of Summons is the last required skill for this build, which extends the duration of Warlock's Demonology summons while active and summons another demon if 8 enemies or demons are killed during the ritual. Not only does this skill give the Warlock even more demons to use with the Feeding Frenzy upgrade that allows Sigil of Summons to summon a total of 5 demons from the ritual, but increasing the amount of time the Rampage demon is active can increase its utility and bonus effects.

  • The contempt aspect

  • Ruthless aspect

  • Fertile seal

  • Cage of Madness

  • Blade of Sight Aflame

Two legendary aspects that Diablo 4 Warlocks will want to ensure that Aspect of Scorn and Remorseless Aspect are included in this build. Aspect of Scorn kills lesser demons for 6-10% of the Warlock's max health damage whenever the player loses at least 10% of their max health, so it's a great way to keep the demonic meat grinder constantly active. More important to this build is Remorseless Aspect, which increases the Warlock's damage by 40-60% for 10 seconds whenever they kill 30 or more demons in 10 seconds. The key here is the fact that this effect is also triggered by killing the Warlock's own summoned demons, so it's very important that Command Fallen and Bombardment keep killing these summons for this damage buff to be active.

There are also three fantastic ones Diablo 4 Warlock uniques that pair well with this build: The Fecund Seal and Cage of Madness. Fecund Seal further increases the utility of Sigil of Summons by increasing the damage it deals and allowing up to three additional demons to spawn from the ritual. Cage of Madness has a wild ability to turn a Warlock into a madman for 15 before exploding and dealing damage to Command Fallen whenever they dodge them. This Unique also spawns Mini Freaks to seek out enemies while the Warlock is transformed and increases Command Fallen damage by 340%.

The final piece of this puzzle is The Blade of Sight Alfame Unique One-Handed Sword, which explodes Lesser Demons and deals 400% bombardment damage if the demon has less than 3 seconds left. Also increases the base damage of Bombardment by 100-120%. This Unique is a perfect match for Sigil of Summons, but players will need to time it just right to kill their Lesser Demons with 3 seconds left to take full advantage of the 400% damage it can do. While this build can be effective for leveling a Warlock in Lord of Hatred, it is even better for solving war plans in Diablo 4game over.
