Sony recently announced that online stores for the PS3 and PS Vita will be discontinued over the next year. as a result PlayStation users will lose digital access to a number of classic PS1 games that are very expensive to purchase physically. In anticipation of this shutdown, there are about 20 games worth picking up now so you don't have to pay ridiculous prices for an original PlayStation copy.
PS3 and PS Vita store closures will begin in August 2026 in Mexico, Honduras, and Nicaragua, while stores in other Latin American and Middle Eastern countries will close in late 2026 and close globally in July 2027. Gamers looking to purchase any of these titles should do so sooner rather than later before all stores close next year.
This list includes games that cannot be purchased on platforms other than the PS3 and PS Vita stores or in their original PS1 disc format.
