Key things
- Grimmjow is a wild card, always ready to fight, often getting into trouble for his reckless behavior.
- Kisuke Urahara is not afraid to be social, sharing strange ideas with the crowd and enjoying the presence of others.
- Pepe Waccabrada is an energetic love guru, always loudly preaching love and hugging fans, despite being a bit irritating.
In a world as dark and dreary as they can be seen Bleachit always helps to have a few people around who can lighten the mood with their over-the-top antics and willingness to say whatever comes to mind. Fortunately, this hugely popular anime featured a fair share of characters that could be considered extroverts, characterized as very outgoing, eccentric, and ultimately just the life of the party.

Bleach: The 7 Most Introverted Characters
These Bleach characters often prefer their own company to hanging out with others.
However, this does not only apply to some of Ichigo's friends, but also to several of his enemies, who are known to be very open in their personalities. When the story of Bleach heats up, these characters are always the ones ready to jump head first into a fight, no matter how dangerous things may get in the way.
8 Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez
Espada's unpredictable wild card
- First appearance: Episode 116
Although most Espada are presented as short and rather aloof characters who prefer to keep to themselves, Grimmjow is the exact opposite. Whether he's recklessly charging into the world of the living to beat up Ichigo or attacking his friends over the slightest inconvenience, he's a wild card who often feels the need to act on his impulses.
As a warrior always looking for a fight, Grimmjow also isn't shy about addressing almost anyone, though he often prefers to let his claws do the talking once he's spotted his latest victim. His aloof nature has gotten him into trouble with Aizen on numerous occasions for being a little too reckless, but now that he's freed from his master's shackles, the former Espada is potentially more dangerous than ever.
7 Kisuke Urahara
Urahara prefers to be around others rather than doing independent research
- First appearance: Chapter 13
Despite being one of the smartest characters in the series, Kisuke is never afraid to speak out about whatever random and weird ideas he has in mind, even if they have nothing to do with the mission at hand. In addition, Kisuke can always be seen with people around him, indicating that he is a character who loves to be social.

These Bleach characters have seen tremendous growth and development since their introduction.
For example, his shop always has his loyal sidekicks Ururu, Jinta, and Tessai to keep him company, but once he enters Soul Society, he welcomes all other Soul Reapers with open arms, including his protégé Mayuri. Kisuke also seems to be a big fan of spontaneous outings, always popping up in the most random places for a quick chat, even if that location happens to include Ichigo's bedroom window, which is definitely not weird at all.
6 Pepe Waccabrada
Love Guru is the very definition of 'People's Person'
- First Appearance: TYBW Episode 23
Pepe only appears briefly during his time in the Thousand Year Blood War arc, but he still knows how to make himself known in the limited screen time he has. Pepe is a Sternritter who is obsessed with the idea of love and believes that it is the one central ingredient that keeps the world going, and as a result he is always seen preaching his ideology at the top of his lungs whenever he appears.
In addition, Pepe is a love guru and is also one of the most approachable Sternritters in the series, always supporting those who succumb to his powers. Pepe's over-the-top personality is undoubtedly why many fans find him a bit irritating, but he's still undoubtedly one of the most outgoing Quincy.
5 Rangiku Matsumoto
Rangiku is always ready to share a drink and meet new people
- First appearance: Episode 24
Tite Kubo, the author of Bleach, knew exactly what he was doing when he paired Hitsugaya and Rangika as captain and lieutenant. While the former is a calm and stoic captain who takes his role very seriously, Rangiku is a fun and largely carefree companion who often tries to bring Hitsugaya out of his shell with pranks and gaffes.
Even though she can lock herself in the face of a worthy opponent, back in the Soil Society, Rangiku loves nothing more than seeing what fellow soul reapers she can pick a fight with over drinks at the local bar. Being so social means she has a lot of friends in Soul Society, unlike many of her friends who have at least a few people they'd rather not hang out with.
4 Kenpachi Zaraki
Kenpachi's desire for battle means he will approach anyone he deems worthy
While Rangiku can hunt down people to drink with, Kenpachi on the other hand is always looking for individuals with strong spiritual pressure to engage in combat. The captain's undying thirst for battle means he will not hesitate to approach anyone he deems a worthy opponent, even complete strangers such as Ichigo.

As soon as Ichigo landed in Soul Society to save Rukia, Kenpachi ran towards him, eager for the prospect of someone who could surpass his own strength and abilities. Kenpachi is also a man who likes to shout out loud whatever is on his mind at the time, a prime example being his gleeful response to Gremmy summoning a meteor in the Thousand Year Blood War arc.
3 Riruka Dokugamine
The Only Time Riruka Dials Down Her Energy Is When Trying To Impress Ichigo
- First appearance: Episode 343
Much like Grimmjow, Riruka feels like an anomaly in her respective group. Rather than putting on a mysterious persona so as not to attract any attention like the other Fullbringers, Riruka has no problem being as loud and energetic as possible, especially when Ichigo is in her sights.
Riruka's more positive and bubbly personality adds a lot more vibrancy to the Fullbringers as a whole and is one of the reasons why she has become such a fan favorite. Although there are flashes of a troubled young girl underneath, Riruka can still often be seen as a fun, outgoing and highly extroverted enemy turned ally of Ichigo.
2 Nel
Even as an adult, Nel is as bubbly and eccentric as ever
- First appearance: Episode 146
When Nel takes on the form of a child, it kind of makes sense why she seems so outgoing and carefree for her young age. When she's not yelling at Ichigo's opponents or covering him with mucus, Nel likes to dance with her loyal companions Dondachaka and Pesche or play with any hollows she comes across in Hueco Mundo.
While it might be easy to assume that Nel will become a bit more mellow and introverted as she evolves into her adult form, that's not really the case. Instead, she still maintains her childlike optimism and personality, which makes her very fun to watch on screen, though perhaps not as much fun for Ichigo, who she often tries to hug to death.
1 Bazz-B
Bazz-B is a loud, bombastic, but also extremely powerful member of the Sternritter group
- First appearance: TYBW Episode 3
Bazz-B may be a hothead who always touts himself as one of the strongest Sternritters, but he's not entirely wrong as he has an incredibly destructive set of abilities that make him a deadly force to deal with. Still, whenever Bazz appears, he always tries to be the center of attention and is never shy about letting his emotions flow freely if he's feeling upset about something.
This can be seen when Uryu is introduced to the ranks of the Sternritters. While many of the other soldiers reluctantly accepted their new friend, Bazz-B snapped and did the same when Renji insulted his stylish mohawk. He can be an outgoing bundle of energy, but it's also easy to get under Bazz-B's skin, which is by far his biggest vulnerability.
