The upcoming Marvel Rivals Hero is the MCU's biggest fumble

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an unprecedented success, and for good reason. A clear vision for its first three phases thanks to the leadership of Kevin Feige, a consistently stellar cast thanks to the expertise of Sarah Halley Finn, and brilliant directors like James Gunn and Ryan Coogler have delivered a series of classics under the Marvel Studios banner. With a clear respect for the source material and characters, there were far more hits than misses, with the likes of Robert Downey Jr. are now synonymous with Iron Man. However, like all things, the MCU is not perfect and Marvel Rivals may soon have a chance to showcase the full potential of one character: Gorr the God-Butcher.

While The Incredible Hulk has been a nervous wreck in the MCU, he's been the target of critics, and Taskmaster's lack of personality has also been a major point of contention, it's probably Gorr who feels like the biggest disappointment of all. There are bits of his story that work – his origin and his final scene are emotional and well-acted, which is no surprise given that Christian Bale plays the character. Yet Bale's involvement is precisely why Gorr is so frustrating, as he could have been allowed to do so much more. All of his god cuts are shown off-screen, and he spends more time terrorizing children than feeling like Thor's biggest threat. IN Marvel RivalsGorr must feel like a big bad to be in the comics, he puts the list on notice and is one of the most intimidating characters in the game once he appears.

Knull's participation Marvel RivalsSeasonal storytelling helps set the stage for Gorr and gives NetEase threads to use for gallery pages and his codex entries.

Marvel Rivals Cracking Down on Cheates GameRant New picture with Thor

Marvel Rivals takes on cheaters

After several rumors regarding the anti-cheat system, Marvel Rivals has cracked down on cheaters in a big way, assuring users about the game's safety.

Marvel Rivals may be adding Gorr soon

There are three particularly damning pieces of evidence that suggest Gorr might be coming Marvel Rivals in the near future. The first is a reference to Fury's iconic “Gorr was right” comment from the comics that set Thor on the path to becoming Unworthy due to the sheer magnitude of that statement. Marvel Rivals' Season 8 Battle Pass includes a text bubble spray of this memorable line from Jason Aaron's run. The second piece of evidence, as pointed out by Twitter user X0XLEAK, is that every old line of dialogue mentioning or referring to Gorr is no longer in the game. This is likely because this dialogue is no longer in line with NetEase's vision for the character, with the studio potentially far along in the design process of its take on the God-Butcher.

This theory is bolstered by the most irrefutable evidence of all: leaked voice lines containing dialogue between characters talking to Gorr. Spider-Man talks about being tired of dealing with strange aliens, while Adam Warlock and Blade point out Gorr wielding Knull's necrosword – with Blade even considering trading Dracula's blade for her before thinking better of the decision. Doctor Strange refers to Gorr by name and tells him to stop whispering in his mind, while Captain America also interacts with the supervillain Thor. Although Gorr's half of these interviews are absent, as the actor may still not be cast, it is now very likely that Gorr will release in the future Marvel Rivals Season. And when it does, let's hope it disappoints Love and thunderThe character's appearance will be deleted.

Overwatch Just Handed Marvel Rivals and won on a silver platter

Despite Marvel Rivals dominating Overwatch of late, Blizzard's latest fumble may be just what NetEase needs to get back into the fray.

What Marvel Rivals has to gain on Gorr

WITH Marvel Rivals representing a huge chunk of the Marvel Universe, it's only natural that the tones clash when people like the Punisher interact with Squirrel Girl. However, it is important that there are no tonal shifts with Gorr himself, a problem that has occurred in some of his Love and thunder scenes. Gorr should not share banter with any cast members and should always prepare or scare characters in his pre-match conversations and battle rants. Additionally, while the MCU changed Gorr's design to better showcase Bale's performance, there's no need for NetEase to remove the character's tentacles and demonic vibes in favor of a more human-like model. Marvel Rivals he's had some neat redesigns of the default costumes, but overall Gorr should resemble his comic book counterpart instead of the movie version.

Gorr's heroic role in Marvel Rivals apparently he hasn't escaped yet. However, since he uses a necrosword and regularly uses violence, the Strategist is pretty safe to take out.

In the comics, Gorr stands at 6-foot-7 and looks like he could stand toe-to-toe with Thor. So while a high Duelist model like Blade is possible, making Gorr a melee-focused Vanguard would also work. As for his abilities, Gorr's ability to shatter planets should warrant a massive AoE Ultimate involving the Necrosword, as there is already a quick cut via Blade's Thousand-Fold Slash. Draining health from enemies to self-heal would also make sense and could be interesting if there was a risk-reward mechanic emphasizing how weak Gorr is without his signature weapon. Maybe the blade could be thrown, which would deal a huge chunk of damage if it connected, but it would drastically reduce Gorr's health when not in hand, allowing the enemy team to capitalize. Regardless, s Marvel Rivals Probably getting Thanos and Doctor Doom this year, and with Gorr now on the way, it seems NetEase has heard the criticism of the game needing more villains. As long as the developer continues to live up to the characters it features in its heroic shooter, Gorr fans have good reason to be excited, as redemption is on the horizon for the deadly alien.
