This can be topped off with late game additions such as Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Zygarde, but it will take a long time.

Even some of the existing Mega Evolutions can't really beat the sheer power of Mega Starmie's Attack, Special Attack, and Speed combined with incredible move coverage. The only thing that might hold Mega Starmie back is that it has fairly low HP and only four move slots, so choosing which move to pick will be more important than ever.
