One of the newest features Throne and Freedom is the inclusion of life skills. This includes the ability for players to get a rod and go fishing, as well as use their caught fish cook some recipes. However, a key ingredient for both in-game and real-life cooking is salt.
Players may find that they lack enough of this key ingredient and look for ways to get more. Fortunately, there are several solutions for this.
How to get salt in throne and freedom
Defeat monsters near the sea to receive salt as a potential drop item is the best way for players to obtain this resource directly. However, players can also obtain large amounts of salt without actively doing anything themselves. That's thanks and House of Amitoi and one of the key features it provides to players. Players can visit the Amitoi house send your Amitoi on expeditions. When they do, they'll return after a predetermined amount of time with a bunch of goodies for the player – salt being one of them.
Players will see that there are many locked options on the expedition map, so it may take some time to unlock the areas they need. Players will need to send Amitoi on Expeditions until they unlock the necessary areas that offer salt. The earliest areas that will offer salt are Windhill Shores and Urstella Fieldswhich are both located in Laslan.
The most efficient way to get as much salt as possible is to send the Amitoi Expeditions that correspond to these locations and then fast travel to Windhill Shores yourself. This will be let Salt manage with a combination of killing monsters while your Amitoi are away on their expeditions for the highest salt yield per hour.
Farming salt by killing monsters while your Amitoi are on an expedition is a great way to ensure you have enough salt early on. However, after a single hour of this, you should have no trouble sending Amitoi to each of these locations as you progress through the Adventure Codex quests in the game.
How to use salt in throne and freedom
Players will use salt as cooking ingredient. This can be done at any of the game's many cooking locations – several of which can be found in town Castleton. Simply look at the minimap to find a small fire surrounded by an arch.
Lean in and you'll be able to interact with one of these baking ovens. This will open the Cooking menu with a list of all different recipes you can cook. Different recipes will require different ingredients, each offering different bonuses in return. Players should collect whatever resources they pass for whenever the need arises to use them.
