If you read it, we hope you like video game movies, because in the last week the sequel to Minecraft has been declared for 2027, along with some somewhat scary and cryptic short films from Nintendo as part of its Nintendo Pictures initiatives. Mortal Kombat's third film has now been confirmed.
Except that there is only one teenage problem – Mortal Kombat 2 was not released or released.
Until there is no Cole Young, I'm for Mortal Kombat 3
As the first time states, New Line Cinema, one of Warner Bros. “The Big Studios is ready to turn Mortal Kombat's franchise into a trilogy. Jeremy Slater, who was responsible for writing Mortal Kombat 2, is likely to return to the pen of Trifecta.
According to Deadline sources, WB on Mortal Kombat 2 is “very high”, the film that was supposed to release this month, but instead was delayed until May 2026. This is some serious trust, given that the first film did not exactly fire the cash register.
The trust is obviously stimulated by the massive support of a red belt trailer, which, according to the term, recorded 107 million views in a 24 -hour period, a record of all time for a red belt or trailer that has a mature content for a film that is likely to be evaluated.
Just as the film was confirmed by the term, the film was confirmed during the New York Comic Con, which helped make things as official as it gets.
When he talked to the crowd, Slater said, “Our friends in New Line and Warner Bros. are so satisfied with this film. They are so excited. They are so convinced that a huge fanbase is waiting for me to start writing another Mortal Kombat.”
As we said upstairs, we hope you are excited about other video game movies because the train will not stop soon.
