Even if you have to give up a completely different class (with some disastrous consequences), you'll have the best Umbrology users on your side, which is nothing to be sniffed at. Can you bring yourself to make that tough decision?
How to run Tsukijima's Elda Grimoire
The quest that allows you to recruit the Diviner class begins simply by talking to the Diviner in Tsukijima. He asks you to find the eponymous Grimoire of Eld, a tome of dark magic.
Where to find the Grimoire of Eldo
Unfortunately, the Grimoire of Eld can only be obtained when dealing with events around Comroon Islandyou allow the volcano to explode, destroying a large chunk of the island and seemingly destroying Zemio and its Salamander inhabitants.
Enabling the volcano to erupt will unlock a new area for exploration called The resulting island. This is a high level dungeon that rewards you with a Grimoire of Eld upon completion. If you prevent the volcano from exploding, you won't be able to get Umbrology.
Once you get the Grimoire, you can return to Tsukijima (even though it's in ruins) and find the Diviner. Passing it will get the Diviner class on your side.
To unlock Umbrology alone, you will also have to show the grimoire of Elda to the receptionist in the incantation lab and then build an Umbrology Laboratory.
