Every major anime has that a famous arc that helps define the story and make the anime famous. For a shonen “big three” member. Bleachthat one big arc is the Soul Society Arc. Before that came the fun but low-stakes and aimless Agent of the Shinigami Arc, and after the Soul Society Arc came the lengthy Arrancar saga. The war against Sosuke Aizen might have been pretty great, but nothing Tite Kubo wrote topped the Soul Society Arc.
Other, similar anime have their own versions that fairly compete with the Soul Society Arc and match it in quality and often style. These fantastic anime story arcs are like cousins Bleach's Soul Society Arc in that they feature many great fights while also expanding the cast of characters and combat system to include more of everything. And of course, a number of these arcs and their events had far-reaching consequences that sooner or later caught up with the characters.

9 anime villain groups that rival Akatsuki
The Akatsuki are iconic, but so are these other groups of anime villains.
The Chunin Trials arc introduced many classic ninjas
Naruto, Sasuke, Gaara and Rock Lee were excellent
It's easy to pit the members of the famous Big Three against each other, including the style of their story arcs. Each opened with a one-episode introduction for the hero, followed by a medium-length arc to get things moving, finally followed by that arch for the real adventure to begin. Naruto he did it with the Chunin Trials arc which seemed to triple the possibilities in this anime.
The Land of Waves Arc brought water release jutsu, kekkei genkai, and even the Sharingan, but the Chunin Trials arc welcomed much more as ninjas from every nation gathered to compete for the rank of chunin. This led to some of the best and most personal fights of the time Naruto Fans have been amazed time and time again as amazing new jutsu debuted. and of course NarutoThe plot really picked up with the likes of Orochimaru and his plans, including giving Sasuke the curse seal.
The UA Sports Festival Arc was a carnival of awesome weirdos
Sports and tournament arcs combined with superhero flair
The overall story of My Hero Academia is broken up into a remarkable series of arcs, including plenty of short ones that effectively advance the story while also tying together the Quirk combat system and all the character arcs. If fans want to compare My Hero Academia on Bleach at best, then the UA Sports Festival Arc has to come into play. First, the UA Sports Festival Arc quickly welcomed many new characters and fighting styles when Deku entered this mega tournament.

The 7 Badass Bleach Fights of All Time, Ranked
From epic clashes to unforgettable showdowns, we rank the toughest Bleach fights of all time.
Arcs like these are a chance for every character so far in the series to show what they can do, win or lose, and it's always a joy to watch. Main and supporting characters like Ichigo, Deku, and Shoto Todoroki also use opportunities like this to unlock new abilities by pushing their minds and bodies beyond all limits. Ichigo Kurosaki acquired the bank in Bleach's Soul Society Arc, while Deku figured out new Smash moves in the UA Sports Festival Arc when he encouraged Shoto to use his flames.
The island of Yorknew Arc launched the Phantom Troupe
Kurapika showed her anger to Chrollo Lucilfer
Hunter x Hunter took a big leap forward with its Yorknew City Arc, where the villainous Phantom Troupe came to the fore. While the Soul Society Arc introduced many Soul Reapers as antagonists for Ichigo's ryoka team, the Phantom Troupe terrorized Gon, Killua, and Kurapika throughout this arc and beyond. Nen's dueling system saw somewhat limited use here, but it was already clear that Gon and Kurapika were going to need something really special and new to survive at all.
Kurapika was the one who used the “bankai” here and reshaped his Nen as a specialized tool to fight the Phantom Troupe and no one else. And of course Phantom Troupe leader Chrollo Lucilfer was Hunter x HunterOwned by Sosuke Aizen in the Yorknew City Arc. Like Aizen, Chrollo is a cold, aloof boss villain with a squad of elite minions, while refusing to be intimidated by heroes like Kurapika or Ichigo.
The Marineford Arc was a who's who of the main one-part characters
Like Aizen, Blackbeard descended to turn the world upside down
in a way One pieceThe Soul Society Arc itself was the Alabasta Saga, which was the first time Luffy's adventures got a serious feel large. This saga brought many new heroes, villains, and Devil Fruits to put the East Blue Saga to shame, but the real Soul Society adventure had to wait a while longer. Given the mammoth scale and deliberate pace One pieceIt's no wonder the series defining Marineford Arc arrived as late as it did.
This was an explosive, game-changing showdown where all the main characters and some new faces clashed, with the hero doing his best to survive in the chaos. Luffy understood what Ichigo had been through, he was strong enough to make it out alive, but he still lacked the strength to stop the main villain in his tracks. Unlike Aizen, Captain Blackbeard was too tough for the protagonist to stop, and Blackbeard held everyone at bay as he grabbed a shocking last-minute victory. Aizen was content to steal the Hogyoku while Blackbeard gloated about wiping Captain Whitebeard's Tremor-Tremor Fruit before leaving.
The Infinity Castle Arc showcased the best hashira and upper moons
Casualties piled up on both sides
Series-defining arcs like the Soul Society Arc usually come a third of the way through the story or earlier, but Demon Slayer he went about things differently. Admittedly, Mugen Train Arc wowed Demon Slayer to viewers as a big step forward, with Team Tanjiro taking down Upper Moon 1 as Kyojuro battled the first Upper Moon of the series, Akazau. However, Demon Slayer he had to amp things up even more to equal what Bleach he did in his Soul Society Arc.

8 Anime Protagonists with God Level Power
Only a few anime protagonists deserve to be called the gods of their worlds, with immense powers that few can rival.
The Soul Society Arc was sprawling with many showdowns and new characters and Demon Slayer he kept things on a small scale until the last moment. It was then that Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King, threw everyone into his Infinity Castle, where countless amazing battles took place. Demon Slayers and Upper Moons alike claimed victory or died trying, and even the protagonist could only do so much. What's more, both the Soul Society and Infinity Castle Arcs involved a hero desperate for revenge against a hated enemy: Ichigo went after Captain Byakuya Kuchiki, while Tanjiro Kamado vowed to end Akazu at all costs.
Frieren was the strongest, but other wizards stole the show
Given its leisurely pace and its deliberate focus on the joys of everyday life instead of epic matches or tournaments, it took a hot minute Frieren: Beyond Journey's End supply your own version Bleach's Soul Society Arc. Until then, Frieren the elf mage shared Ichigo's habit of hanging around fighting monsters as they came, but sooner or later the tournament had to happen. Enter the first class of the mage exam, which brought Frieren his first real challenge.
This arc also welcomed many new faces and their richly varied spells and fighting styles, from Übel's focus on slicing to Wirbel's vicious tactics to the goofy but effective team maneuvers of Kanne and Lawine. Unlike Ichigo in Bleachmage Frieren didn't make a big upgrade on par with bankai or Hollow mask, but she got a chance to show Frieren: Beyond Journey's End what happens when she finally gets 100% serious in the face of a worthy challenge, including her own doppelgänger.
