8 characters so strong they are beyond Yonko level

The Yonks are the four most elite pirates in the land One piece a world considered the pinnacle of the Great Pirate Era and those directly fighting for it One piece in the New World. They have had a huge impact on the story over the years and have also shown great power.

However, while they are definitely strong, there are characters that far surpass the title of Yonko. Some Yonko themselves, like Whitebeard and Shanks, stand out from the average group, and there are other characters who never held the title of Yonko but are above them, like Rocks and Roger.

Rocks D. Xebec

The Captain of the Rocks Pirates

Rocks D. Xebec was a legend in One Piece world about 40 years ago. He was so powerful that several pirates who served under him became Yonks in the future, including Whitebeard, Big Mom, and Kaid. Xebec's feats easily pushed him past the level of a Yonka. He effortlessly defeated the Navy Admiral and killed him. He even defeated the Immortal Army and Saint Knight Figarland Garling. Xebec even fought Imu, but lost in the end.

Roger conquered the Great Line and became the Pirate King – an achievement that required him to have immense power. Like Rocks, Roger relied primarily on Haki in combat. actually Roger was about the same power level as Rocksif not higher. As a pirate king, he was truly on another level. Compared to your average Yonk, Roger was definitely stronger. He only got stronger after the events of the God Valley incident.

Whitebeard

Once part of the Rocks Pirates, Whitebeard he is better known as the leader of the Whitebeard Pirates and later served as a Yonko. While Whitebeard himself was a Yonko, he was clearly portrayed as a level above the rest. He was on par with the Pirate King and many considered him the closest thing to One Piece after the death of Gol D. Roger.

Imu is the secret ruler of the world in One Piece and a character who has ruled from the shadows for about 800 years. His abilities far surpass any Yonko. Fans weren't quite sure how strong Im would be but in God Valley Imu withstood the attacks of five Yonko-level characters and came out unscathed. Based on everything we've seen so far, Imu is on a whole other level.

Known as the Hero of the Marine Corps, Garp was Roger's greatest rival in the navy, and a figure who was often compared to him in strength. He is known to have chased away the Pirate King on many occasions in the past.

In God's Valley, Garp chased away Whitebeard, Kaid, and Big Mom and even fought with Imu. In the current timeline, Garp destroyed the Blackbeard Pirates single-handedly despite his advanced age.

Joy Boy

Known as a mysterious figure from the Void Century, Joy Boy was born in an ancient kingdom and fought against an alliance of 20 kings in a battle that ravaged the world.

The fans don't know much about him, but he is very strong, far above the level of the average Yonko. His Haki once forced the Five Elders to retreat into Marijoa and even scared Ima.

Davy D. Jones

Ancestor of Xebek and Blackbeard

The legend of Davy Jones was first mentioned in the Long Ring Long Land arc from One piecebut Oda shed more light on him in the latest Elbaf arc. Davy Jones existed during the Void Century as one of the thorn in Imu's side. He was a legendary pirate that even Imu was wary of. Davy D. Jones is the ancestor of Rocks D. Xebec and Blackbeardand he certainly had tremendous power.
