Perform skill-specific actions
Since this is an RPG, you have a lot of different skills that aren't about shooting people. You can pick locks and hack terminalsas well as use your own engineering, scientific, explosive and medical knowledge in different situations.
Whenever you use your skills, the game will give you a lot of experience. So it's a good idea to use these talents when the opportunity arises rather than using one of the alternate methods the game usually provides.
Kill a lot of wildlife
In The Outer Worlds 2, you can explore a lot of open places that contain a lot of unique flora and fauna. In this game, the latter means enemy creatures ready to attack you.
You get a lots of XP for killing these beastsmore than you get for killing regular enemies in the main quests. Therefore, you may want to wander around for a while and hunt these creatures to increase your experience.
