One piece is the biggest manga series in the world ever. In terms of sales, no other series can even hope to compete with Eiichiro Oda's magnum opus. 28 years after its serialization began, One piece is still going strong. However, one major issue has arisen over the past few years and that is Od's health. with time Oda was forced to take more breakswhich often worries fans.

Eiichiro Oda's job is not getting any easier and he needs as much rest as he can get. with that One Piece's another break has already started. After One Piece 1168 which came out today December 7, 2025 is followed by a week of break. The manga will return with One piece chapter 1169 in two weeks, December 21, 2025. It will be the last chapter of December and with it the year 2025.
One Piece Manga Break starts on December 7th
As has now become the norm, One piece fans always expect breaks after every 3 chapters. Eiichiro Oda has now made a habit of taking a break after every 2 or 3 chaptersand since the recent stretching fans had 3 big chapters, there was always a week off and fans weren't surprised to see this confirmed.
One piece Chapter 1168 was officially released today, and in its conclusion, the Elbafian flashback got its main part, something that all fans have been desperately waiting for. This chapter marks the beginning of One Piece's final two-week hiatus.
Unfortunately, fans will have to say goodbye to One Piece on the 7th. Oda takes his time to recover and plan what to do next.
At this point, Oda really needs this break. As fans have noticed, One piece Chapter 1168 was rushed and many panels were unfinished, meaning that the chapter was not submitted on time and that Oda had problems managing things. Right now, the author's break is perfect.
The One Piece Manga will officially return on December 21st
As usual, the One Piece manga will be on hiatus for two weeks starting December 7th. in other words the manga is scheduled to return in Jump on December 21, 2025.
One Piece will return with chapter 1169 and it will be the last chapter of December. One Piece is on hiatus again after that, due to the holidays. Fans will then have to wait until 2026 for more Elbaf content.
