PlayStation Plus maintains a strong presence during the various Summer Game Fest events, with one PS Plus game even getting a Nintendo Direct release date one day, which is fun. Nonetheless, the flurry of news has created a very busy time for subscribers, but more than that, it means they know a lot of the games that will be coming to the service over the next few months.
In total, counting the biggest drop yet of PS Plus Extra games confirmed for June 2026, subscribers already know 12 games coming to the service. 8 of these games will join the respective PS Plus catalog on June 16, but 1 is scheduled for July, 2 for August, and 1 for September. Maybe if there's another big PlayStation show this summer or near the end of it, Sony will make as many upcoming announcements for the fall season as well.

PlayStation accounts are suddenly hacked
A security flaw related to PlayStation accounts appears to allow hackers to gain access to users' PSN profiles with little difficulty.
At the recent State of Play, Sony gave fans a sneak peek at PS Plus Premium games for June, July and August. For June inclusive Guitar Man— the classic PS2 rhythm game from 2002. Shortly after, Sony revealed the typical lineup of PS Plus Extra games, which also seem to be celebrating the summer festivities. Final Fantasy 16 is the main headliner and is joined by big names like Sonic X Shadow Generations, Kingdom Come: Deliveranceand Life is Strange: Double Exposure. That's enough to keep anyone entertained for months, but then there are a few more niche games: Farming Simulator 25, Blades of Fire, and Black desert.

PS Plus premium game for July revealed ahead of time
Alongside Gitaroo Man, a PS Plus Premium add-on has been revealed Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy for mid-July. For the uninitiated, players take on the role of Nick Scryer, a government agent who investigates a terrorist group and becomes embroiled in a psychic weapons program. This forms the core of the story, while his physics-driven supernatural powers make his gameplay stand out.

Finally, Runescape: Dragonwilds appeared at most of the main Summer Game Fest events and was confirmed to join the first day of PS Plus Extra in September. It's an open-world survival game based on the popular Runescape IP, and while it was in early access on PC, its console release represents the 1.0 benchmark and the IP's first time on consoles. It's co-op, so there's a good chance it'll be the PS Plus co-op game of the year.
