This post contains spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 has already started and it's safe to say that it will be one of the most talked about anime of 2026. Itadori Yuji and Yuta Okkotsu were the center of attention in the first two episodes. It was previously teased that Yuta was sent to take out Yuji, but fans knew there was more to it than meets the eye.

Special grade curses are exceptionally powerful and can make short work of the best wizards.
In new episodes JJK Season 3, Yuta revealed that he was sent by higher-ups to deal with Yuji. From his presence in the first two episodes, it seems obvious that Yuta Okkotsu will be among the highlights.

Yuta has a lot of cursed energy
Based on the recent introduction in JJK Season 3, it seems quite obvious that Yuta Okkotsu is among the strongest characters in the world. In his fight against Yuji, Yuta showed that he has superior physical abilities. After all, he was able to keep up with Yuji, who is known for her stamina and physical strength. Yuta was able to knock out a powerful fighter like Choso with a single blow to the head.
In addition to his immense physical prowess, Yuta Okkutsu is also extremely proficient in the use of weapons. He often infuses his blade with cursed energy, increasing its power. Yuta used his sword to fight Yuji, coming close to ending the wizard's life on numerous occasions. He also used the sword to get rid of cursed spirits.
Obviously, this wouldn't be possible without Yuta's massive cursed energy, which brings us to the next point. Yuta Okkotsu has a lot of cursed energy. In fact, his stock is better than that of Gojo Satoru, the strongest wizard in the world. However, it's worth noting that Gojo Satoru's Six Eyes prevents him from ever running out of cursed energy.
Yuta Okkotsu has more cursed energy than Gojo Satoru
Yuta Okkotsu's immense cursed energy comes from Rika, the Queen of Curses. At first, Rika was a burden and a danger to Yuta, but after her spirit left, she became a blessing to her. Due to his immense cursed energy, Yuta is able to fight for a long time without any problems. Another benefit of having such a massive amount of cursed energy is that Yuta can use it to power up his attacks. While fighting Yuji, he constantly added cursed energy to his punches, making it nearly impossible for the hero to defend himself. Yuta can also use cursed energy to strengthen his body and protect against any attack that would otherwise be fatal.
Additionally, Yuta can use Black Flash, a powerful attack that can deal devastating damage. Finally, Yuta has the ability to summon Rik, a special cursed spirit. Unsurprisingly, she is the main source of Yuta's power and without her the wizard would not be as powerful. Fans who watched JJK 0 should be familiar with Rik's power, but the uninitiated won't have to wait long to see the cursed spirit's full potential. In fact, viewers who watched the first two episodes of Season 3 already got a taste of Rika's power after she easily subdued Yuji.
Yuta will show off his power in the Culling arc
The Culling Game will test Yuto's skills
The Culling Game arc is the focus of the third season. In fact, it's already been mentioned that Tsukimi will be forced to participate in the Culling Game, and Megumi has already asked for Yuji's help in the matter. Yuta obviously isn't going to let his junior's sister meet a cruel fate, so fans can expect the warlock to be heavily involved in the tournament.
Since Noritoshi Kamo is hosting the Culling Game, it's safe to assume that many powerful wizards will be part of the competition. Naturally, Yuta will have to face one of these individuals and get a chance to show the audience his true power. Let's hope that happens sooner rather than later.
