Developer Embark Studios kept the ball rolling with its second installment ARC Raiders 2026 update as patch 1.12.0 is now available for download on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Today's news ARC Raiders the patch may only be small, but it addresses some major exploits that fans have been complaining about for weeks, including one that (again) allowed players to get out of bounds on the PvP map, Stella Montis.
The latest update comes just a week after the last one ARC Raiders an update that fans have been patiently waiting for over Christmas while Embark took a well-deserved break. The studio then returned with the first patch of 2026, known as the 1.11.0 update, which not only added a much-anticipated cosmetic pack, but also saw some huge nerfs to some fan-favorite weapons and items. Most notable of the bunch was the damage radius reduction on Trigger Nade, as the C4-style grenade had dominated PvP encounters for weeks. Embark also adjusted the time between activation and detonation from 0.7s to 1.5s and also reduced the firing rate of the kettle from 600 to 450 so players don't abuse macros to fire the weapon faster than intended.
ARC Raiders could add the highly requested feature as the developers are “super aware” of player requests
Embark addresses the huge number of requests for saved loadouts in ARC Raiders, as the developer says the studio is “super aware” of player requests.
ARC Raiders Update Stella Montis Exploit Fixes
Since its release ARC RaidersOn the Stella Montis map in November, players kept finding more and more ways to exploit it and get beyond. While Embark has tried to address this with numerous updates over the past few months, players are still finding alternative ways to get off the map. Today's update focuses again on this controversial use, as Embark says it has now fixed various locations on the Stella Montis map that are out of bounds. Hopefully this will be the last time the studio needs to fix the issue, as it has been causing massive controversy among the gaming community for weeks.
According to the official patch notes, which can be found later in this article, the 1.12.0 update also fixes a number of other exploits. Embark also seems to have fixed an issue that allowed players to duplicate ammo and items, as well as fixed some cases where players could damage others from behind the geometry. Unfortunately, that's all that's included on January 20th ARC Raiders update. While some were expecting the release of the new Toxic Swamp map state for ARC Raiders today, it looks like players will have to wait a little longer, as there's still no word from Embark on when the next content update will arrive.
The good news is that ARC Raiders It looks like it has big plans for 2026, as Embark recently teased the community and revealed that several new maps will be released over the next 12 months. While there's still no plan for 2026, specific details about the new maps remain a mystery, but Embark said they'll all vary in size. The studio added Stella Montis to the game back in November, which drastically shook things up, as the map is much smaller and consists of narrow, winding corridors that quickly became a popular spot for PvP.
Many fans now believe that another map will be added ARC Raiders will center around an erupting volcano as there have been many references and dialogues in the game teasing its addition.
Players are also calling for some major quality-of-life improvements, especially in relation to the game's user interface. Fortunately, Embark says it's “super aware” of the requirements for the saved loading feature ARC Raiderswhich would drastically reduce the amount of time spent in Speranza and get players to the top side much faster. The game's design lead even admitted that he would often start a freeloader so he wouldn't waste time creating another loadout.
