Black Ops 7 Season 3 Battle Pass Revealed

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 developer Treyarch Studios has officially revealed the shooter's brand new Battle Pass for Season 3, which will be released this Thursday, April 2nd. With the release of this week's seasonal content update, both Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone fans will be able to get a free or premium Season 3 Battle Pass. Or for those looking for some extra rewards during the new season, Call of Duty brings back the BlackCell Battle Pass variant.

BlackCell Battle Pass was introduced for the first time Call of Duty back in 2023 with season 3 Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone. It has now become a staple of the news Call of Duty seasons, but not without some controversy. Fans balked at the new premium offering as concerns grew that it could set a dangerous precedent for the series. While any gameplay-changing items like new weapons are available in the free section of the Battle Pass, Activision continues to pay out more and more cosmetic items for microtransactions. And unlike the usual premium Battle Pass, BlackCell can only be purchased with real money. Its current price is $29.99.

Despite the controversy, BlackCell continues to return with every major content update and Season 3 Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 it won't be any different. In addition to brand new multiplayer maps, modes and weapons, April 2nd will also see the arrival of a fresh Battle Pass for players to try out, with over 100 rewards. And for the very first time, the BlackCell Battle Pass has its own Camo Challenge Track, plus additional Valkyrie-themed operator skins and weapon blueprints that can be unlocked through in-game challenges.

As has become tradition, there will be over 100 new rewards in the Season 3 Battle Pass, including new free base weapons plus new operator skins, weapon blueprints, finishing moves and more. The premium version of the Pass also comes with up to 1,100 COD Points, or players can purchase the Battle Pass Bundle for 2,400 COD Points, which comes with 20 Tier Skips, allowing players to get ahead and instantly unlock a handful of in-game rewards.

For those planning to purchase the BlackCell Battle Pass for Call of DutySeason 3's big update, Activision says there are seven exclusive operator skins and seven exclusive weapon designs. The “Grasp” BlackCell Skin for a new Javelin operator is an instant reward that unlocks after purchasing a BlackCell, followed by the “Lockdown” BlackCell Skin for TEDD on page 2, the “Jagged” BlackCell Skin for Wei Lin on page 5, the “Icecap” BlackCell Skin for Dempsey for Richtofen Black Page 7, Page 7. 11, the “Tacit” BlackCell Skin for Karma on page 13 and finally the “Riven” BlackCell Skin for Javelin on the BlackCell Battle Pass Season 3 completion page.

Season 3 is shaping up to be another massive season Call of Duty: Black Ops 7as Treyarch is once again set to release three brand new maps at launch as well as two iconic remasters: Plaza from Black Ops 2 and Gridlock from Black Ops 4. Additional maps will be released in the game's mid-season update, which usually arrives a month after launch. Fans can also look forward to tons of new weapons, game modes and more, as well as the return of Verdansk in Call of Duty: Warzone.
