The month is off to a great start with a double dose of indie games coming out on May 7th. India publisher Annapurna Interactive is finally releasing Mixtapenarrative adventure game with Life is strange vibes about three friends and their mix of memories that players will experience through in-game vignettes. Fans of indie action RPGs CrossCode will also experience the latest title from developer Radical Fish Games, Alabaster Dawnwhen it comes out in Early Access on the same day.
Horror fans will want to make sure they mark their calendars for May 12th, as that's the release date for Policy 8020: Game with dark images. Players will have to survive as the crew of the Cassiopeia after it crashes on the planet Tau Ceti f as they face off against an alien organism that can mimic its prey, leading to a tense cinematic experience where the player's decisions can affect the outcome of the story.
Just a few days later, a cozy open-world indie game Outbound allows players to explore the world using an RV as a home on May 12. It also features crafting and co-op elements, allowing players to customize their caravan to suit their tastes or those of their friends. A less cozy driving game will be released next week when Forza Horizon 6 coming to PC via Steam on May 18th. Microsoft's top racing simulator takes players across Japan in this latest entry, in what's to come Forza Horizonthe biggest open world game yet.
On May 20th and 21st, three exciting indie games will be released on Steam with Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core to the first as the third entry in Deep Rock Galactic franchise that brings fans a new co-op FPS roguelite. The next day, both Coffee Talk Tokyo and Zero Parades: For Dead Spies releases and each follows on from acclaimed indie games. Coffee Talk Tokyo is a visual novel game where players serve coffee to both humans and yokai in a cozy Tokyo cafe while Zero Parades: For Dead Spies is the successor Disco Elysium from the developer ZA/UM.
