Crimson Desert re-blockades explained

Re-Blockade is a new addition Crimson Desert with patch 1.05.00 and it basically means that areas you've liberated can be attacked by enemies and force you to liberate them again. Whether it's a small camp or a massive fortress, enemies can reclaim anything, which can be frustrating.

fortunately there is a way to disable Re-Blockade mechanic so you can keep areas liberated without the hassle of backtracking, defeating hordes of enemies, and finding another area taken from you while you were distracted.

Here's how you can find and tame an Iron Eagle in the Crimson Desert as your newest winged pet.

How to disable reblocks in Crimson Desert

  • Click Start/Options and press R1/RB to enter the “Other” tab.

  • Press L2/LT to go to “Options” and select “Settings”.

  • Use L2/LT to go to “Gameplay” in Settings.

  • Switch “Reblock Frequency” to “Stable” in game settings.
  • This will ensure that the liberated forts remain securely protected and will never be recaptured enemies.

Re-Blockade Settings in Crimson Desert, explained

Outside of “stable”, there are two other options for the reblock frequency:

Conflict

Liberated areas are occasionally recaptured and captured by enemies. These occur mostly after fast travel and rest periods, and it is unpredictable which fortress will be taken.

War

Liberated strongholds are constantly recaptured with strong enemy resistance, meaning you'll always be looking forward to a fierce battle.

Final thoughts on reblocking in Crimson Desert

Personally, I would recommend removing Re-Blockade by selecting the “Stable” setting for Re-Blockade Frequency. I like the intent of Re-Blockade as it's a good idea to allow players to test their builds and continue the fight as they liberate the entire map.

However, because the map is so big and there are so many secrets, I'm more focused on finding things rather than constantly juggling areas I need to liberate again, which takes away my exploration time.

If you want to stall progress and keep your focus during combat encounters, try Re-Blockade, but if you're like me and prefer to explore without the consequence of having time to undo your hard work, then you should leave Re-Blockade disabled.
