Currently, May is shaping up to be a fairly stellar month for game releases, with Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and 007 First Light leading the fifth month of the calendar. Oh, and a little title called Dead Gears: Space of War, a rip-off of Gears of War and Dead Space.
Coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on May 29th, it costs $9.99 and is pretty flashy as far as cheats go. The description of the title, first noted by Nintendo Life, is as follows:
Everything changed the moment the signal was lost.
A remote colony on the planet Virelia fell silent after a mysterious biomechanical infection spread across the surface, consuming everything in its path. The once functioning world is now a hostile environment where technology and life have merged into something unpredictable and dangerous.
You are Captain Darius Vex, the leader of an elite unit sent to investigate, control and eliminate the threat. The mission quickly turns into a fight for survival as you navigate abandoned facilities, destroyed cities and infected zones where each step forward reveals new dangers.
Not only is the game's title a mash-up of Gears of War and Dead Space, it even went so far as to rip off the iconic Cog symbol from Gears, as well as the blue accents that Dead Space used so expertly for its environments.

Playing Gears Of War on PlayStation 5 makes me feel like I'm committing a crime
One of the most iconic Xbox properties of all time has finally come to PlayStation. Say hello to Gears of War.
As of right now, neither Gears of War nor Dead Space have come to the Nintendo Switch, although that may change with the increased power of the Switch 2. Instead, it's as close as you can get, assuming it makes it to May 29 and isn't pulled from the store.
The eShop is no stranger to bizarre clones
Even though Nintendo is tight as a ship, there have been a number of titles that make you think twice if anyone is seriously vetting any of these posts.
Chief among the titles that raised eyebrows were a pair of provocative One Piece clones titled Pirate Anime Quest: One Boys' Journey, A Piece of Island Love and Pirate Anime Quest: One Girls' Journey, A Piece of Island Love.
These AI clones obviously featured One Piece-style branding and characters and are still alive today, giving Dead Gears: Space of War a better than zero chance of a real release.
