Without any guesswork, the production company capitalized on it and turned it into a franchise that has already grossed over $1 billion at the global box office. With fans yearning for another John Wick, the production company decided to expand the universe in an extraordinary way and came up with Ballerina, starring Ana de Armas and promising to take the franchise to a whole new level. Recently, the film shared a small action clip from the film which clearly shows that the film is sure to be a ride filled with some thrilling action sequences.

The 15-second clip is more than enough to let fans know that the said film series does not compromise on the standard set by the earlier films. The clip comes nearly a week after a report revealed that director Chad Stahelski had to step in and reshoot certain scenes to make the film look good. However, the production giant clarified that the report shared by The Wrap did not include all the facts.


The studio revealed that Len Wiseman directed additional filming, with Chad Stahelski contributing action design on new scenes to enhance the film's action sequences. During filming, Wiseman experienced a serious health problem that required a brief hospitalization, during which Stahelski stepped in to oversee additional photography. Although reports of Ballerina be a disappointment proved false, the film still has big shoes to fill. Recent Lionsgate releases, incl Megalopolis and Borderturned out to be big box office failures, causing the production giant to lose a lot of money. This makes Ballerina really important to them and they would like the film to succeed in all areas. Plus, John Wick movies set the standard for how action movies should be made, and if Ballerina doesn't follow suit, it could turn out to be another disaster for Lionsgate. However, Stahelski assisting the creator and his team could certainly make a difference. Additionally, by focusing on a new character with her own revenge story, the film can appeal to a wider audience while retaining the gritty charm of the original series, making for an impressive addition to the franchise.


It would be interesting to find out if Ballerina has the same level of impact as the first John Wick movie in 2014. If so, Lionsgate would have another successful franchise on its hands.
