After 4 years, One Piece introduces the Three Devil Fruits of the Gods

One Piece's The Elbaph Arc greatly expanded the God Devil Fruit's abilities within a year and a half. The very first God Devil Fruit ability revealed in the Elbaph Arc came in Chapter 1175, thanks to the official reveal of Nidhoggr's ability. This legendary Devil Fruit has been guarded in Elbaph for centuries, and according to Imu's statements in Chapter 1181, it was last held around the same time as the Void Century.

According to Elder Jarul, Elbaph has a legend of a warrior god that existed in the land centuries ago. This Warrior God had the power to transform into a giant black dragon and also fought the Sun God Nika a long time ago. After the death of the warrior god Ratatoskr, he guarded the devil fruit by reincarnating inside the Iron Lightning Hammer, also known as Ragnir. This power is now wielded by none other than Loki, making him the bearer of the official God ability and another warrior god of Elbaph.

In chapter 1179 One piecewhich was officially released on Manga Plus on April 6, 2026, Eiichiro Oda revealed another God-level Devil Fruit ability with the descent of Nero Imu in the Elbaph arc. This ability is known as Akuma no Mi, or Devil Fruit. With the power of this fruit, Nerona Imu can transform into the devil himself, and this ability predates all other devil fruit powers that exist in the One Piece world. Unlike other abilities whose names are written in Kanji, Akuma no Mi Nerony Imu strictly uses katakana, meaning that the name of the Devil Fruit actually represents the ability itself and is much more special and has abilities that are at a much higher level. As King of the World, Nero Imu used this God ability to rule the world for centuries.

One Piece's Elbaph Arc is currently in its climax and Chapter 1182 and beyond will focus strictly on the wielder of the three divine powers.
