Yooka-Replaylee has seemingly been confirmed for Switch 2. A hint that it will be coming to Nintendo's upcoming console was shared as part of the game's latest trailer.
Nintendo still has five months to announce the Switch 2 during the reveal timeframe it previously committed to. Some recent rumors suggested that the company is targeting October 2024 for the official unveiling, but now that the month is coming to an end, that is becoming less likely by the day. Meanwhile, select developers have already started confirming games for the Switch 2.

Rumor: The Nintendo Switch 2 Dock may look a lot different than its predecessor
According to some recent rumors, the Nintendo Switch 2 and its dock might not have a problem visually standing out from their predecessors.
The latest company to (sort of) do this is Playtonic Games, a British studio that just loaded up Yooka-Laylee remaster to console announcement trailer. The 100-second clip ends with a list of platforms that Yooka-Replaylee will support, which includes the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo logos. The fact that the group doesn't specifically mention the Switch seems to indicate that the platform will be targeting the console's successor instead. Playtonic confirmed that this chosen logo was not a mistake, writing it as a joke Yooka-Replaylee will be available on the recently announced Nintendo Alarm Clock.
The Nintendo Switch 2 already has several games confirmed
So while Nintendo's next device is still nowhere to be found, the number of its confirmed games continues to grow. It was announced most recently by Pathea My time in Evershine will be coming to the Switch 2, and has pledged to share more details on the matter after Nintendo officially reveals the much-anticipated console.
before that Persona– like an RPG Bestiary was also confirmed for the Switch 2 in late February 2024. This was shortly after widespread reports surfaced that Nintendo had delayed its Switch successor to 2025. Both Bestiary and My time in Evershine were confirmed for an unannounced device as part of their Kickstarter campaigns. With the Switch 2 widely rumored to be backwards compatible, its Day 1 library shouldn't be lacking in titles even in the unlikely event that the console fails to attract much early support from third-party developers.
As for when exactly the device will be unveiled, many fans have been trying to guess for most of the year. Nintendo has an investor call scheduled for November 5, where its executives are sure to be asked about the upcoming console. However, the likelihood of them providing any substantive answers to Switch 2 questions is currently unclear. The console isn't expected to hit store shelves until Q2 2025 at the earliest.
