ARC Raiders is releasing its first post-launch update

New ARC Raiders the update, version 1.000.006, is now available for download. This revision, the first patch since the game's debut, brings fixes to more than a dozen critical issues found in the first build of the game. ARC Raidersin addition to a few other changes.

An extraction shooter from Swedish subsidiary Nexon Embark Studios, ARC Raiders had a massively successful launch on October 30th, peaking at over 264,000 concurrent players on Steam alone. If user review numbers are any indication, at least one-third of the game's early adopters are currently playing on consoles.

The first ARC Raiders update includes gameplay, graphics and UI fixes

All versions ARC Raiders received their very first post-launch update on Friday, October 31st. The patch notes attached to the latest extraction shooter build (1000006) contain 19 items, mostly bug fixes. Key issues that have been fixed include broken Augment Effects, incorrect item drop rates, minor geometry glitches, and UI bugs. The ARC Raiders Proximity chat has also received several fixes and should no longer produce robotic voice distortion.

The updated version of the extraction shooter should be slightly more stable than the first build, with the new changelog mentioning a fix for one crash trigger, though without further elaboration. Stability improvements may be more noticeable on PC as the developer has identified and resolved a memory leak related to avatar images on Steam. In a similar vein, the October 31st patch fixes a bug that caused Steam player avatars to not show up in the Social tab. Another PC-specific fix addresses visual glitches that occurred when using the Epic v graphics settings ARC Raiders.

Virtual tracking for ARC Raiders Codex has been temporarily disabled due to previously identified issues with some lens types not unlocking properly. A more comprehensive patch is currently being worked on that will allow developers to re-enable this feature. The presentation of the in-game store has also been improved, with images now promising a uniform size regardless of screen aspect ratio. Visual improvements include corrected interior floor materials, refined lighting in certain areas, and geometry fixes on the Blue Gate map. Meanwhile, the subway extractions on the Buried City map have been adjusted so that players don't get stuck on tracks.

Many more fixes are planned for the popular extraction shooter in the coming days. Looking at the bigger picture, Embark has already unveiled ambitious post-launch content plans ARC Raiderswhich include new quests, maps and events. Several “major updates” are currently planned for release in the last two months of 2025. Unlike most modern live service games, ARC Raiders won't be adopting a seasonal content model, at least not initially, and Embark is instead looking to deliver updates and meaningful changes whenever it's ready.
