Diablo 4 Anathema of the Primes Drop Location

Anathema of the Primes is a unique 2H sword for Warlocks Diablo 4 that players can pass farming Andariel, one of the Lair Bosses that require the Greater Lair Key. While this sword and most of the other Uniques in the game can drop from sources other than Lair Bossfarming Andariel will still be the best way to get it outside of Horadric Cube transmutation. If you're dying to build a Warlock Archfiend diablo 4, Here's how you can farm for Anathema of the Primes.

This unique weapon is one of the possible drops from Andariel in the hangmen's hallprovided you are playing as Warlock. To open her treasure, you will need the Greater Lair Key, which is obtained by opening the treasures of lower lair bosses such as Lord Zir, Grigoire, and Beast in Ice.

Greater Lair Keys are quite rare. Once you reach Torment 6, they start dropping more oftenbut only a little. The higher the level of Torment, the better the chance of getting one of them.

If you're having trouble getting the Greater Lair Keys, or if Andariel simply refuses to give you Anathema of the Primes, then your next best bet is to use the Horadric Cube. You can upgrade the Common 2H Sword to a guaranteed Anathema of the Primes by rolling it and using the Upgrade feature. To do this, you will also need one Enhanced Primordial Dust and one Raw Primordial Dust. The former is also somewhat rare, but the latter can be obtained almost everywhere.

Gambling with Purveyors of Curiosity is a great way to get Common 2H Swords. If you're extra lucky, you might even get Anathema of the Primes right away.

This weapon causes enemies to take more damage from you when you hit them with various basic skills. More importantly, every Archfiend Demonform skill variant becomes a basic skill and costs Wrath instead of Dominance to use.

Anathema of the Primes opens up a wide variety of different building paths. My personal favorite is the Demonic Smash Rampage build using Anathema of the Primes together with the Lurid PactA unique ring that greatly increases Rampage's damage and at the same time, its AoE increases with each enemy you defeat with it. This basically plays like a jumping barbarian, except you're a flaming demon instead of a raging slab of flesh and steel. There's also a path to build Sin Demon with Metamorphosis, though I've yet to try it myself.

Of course, you can only use Anathema of the Primes with your default basic skills. That would be a bit of a waste though, as neither of them have any particularly good synergies with each other.
