Dungeons and Dragons has officially revealed eight new subclasses coming to the 2024 edition of the game with its upcoming expansion, Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun. The launch of the latest revision of the massively popular tabletop role-playing game last year saw a lot of significant changes, from classes and species to mechanics and more. The 2024 revision introduced four subclasses for each Dungeons and Dragons' core twelve classes, both revising popular subclasses like Berserker Barbarian and adding new options like Soulknife Rogue. Now another new book will bring even more subclasses.
Dungeons and DragonsSubclasses serve as one of the main ways players can customize their character builds, offering several different paths they can take. Players who take classes like Fighter and Rogue can choose to add magic to their repertoire by having magic-focused subclasses like Eldritch Knight and Arcane Trickster. Magic-focused classes often use subclasses to differentiate their playstyle, with different subclasses usually offering access to their own unique array of exclusive spells. A new report now details eight upcoming subclasses for Dungeons and Dragons' another extension.
The official announcement from Wizards of the Coast lists eight new subclasses being added D&Drevision of 2024 p Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun. The class list features several fan-favorite subclasses returning from Fifth Edition, including Clerics gaining access to the Knowledge Domain and Bladesinger Wizard, which allows casters to mix melee with magic. The expansion will also see the addition of several brand new subclasses, including the Winter Walker Ranger focused on harnessing the power of ice and the Scion of the Three Rogue providing buffs based on specific evil gods. Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun will be released on November 11.
