Each Diablo is an almost endless hole of content even from the basic package. However, the developers do not stop there. In addition to updates, each game is also treated to a content expansion that adds new pieces of story to the main adventure. These expansions usually come in combination with radical changes to game systems that often feel like a refresh.

Those interested purely in campaigns will be more interested in how long these expansions are. None of them match the length of the base Diablo campaign, but they generally offer enough gameplay to justify a single-playthrough purchase.
