Level 5 Objectives and Tips
After completing phase 2 of the space elevator v Satisfactoryyou will unlock Tier 5 and 6 Milestones. These progression checkpoints are right in the middle of the game where things start to get complicated as you expand your factory even more.
Tier 5 milestones focus mainly on products created using the new liquid Crude Oil, which can be used to produce resources such as rubber, plastic, and fuel. Below we take a look at each level 5 milestone, what it unlocks, how to complete it, and some tips on how to progress through the level.
Level 5 Milestones
There are five tier 5 milestones to unlock. As mentioned above, these are mostly related Crude oilincluding its production and various uses.

Jetpack Milestone unlocks equipment of the same name. Jetpack lets you do just that burn fuel to rise into the air for a short time, allowing you to reach high places or avoid falling damage. While it may not be as maneuverable as the Hoverpack, unlocked at level 7, the Jetpack is great for finding Power Slugs, Mercer Spheres, and Somersloops.

The oil processing milestone is a necessary step to expand your factory. This milestone unlocks the ability oil harvest which can be transformed Plastic and rubbertwo resources that will very soon become vital.
Crude oil can also be used to produce fuel that can be used for propulsion Fuel driven generator which you unlock in Milestone of oil energy later. Fuel can also be packed after unlocking Liquid packaging milestonewhich allows you to use it with a Jetpack or vehicles, offering a more efficient option than coal or biomass.

The Mk.4 version of the conveyor belts has the ability to transfer up to 480 items per minuteallowing you to take full advantage fully overclocked Mk.2 Miners on clean nodes.

Fluid Packaging makes it possible for you turn liquids like water and oil into solid objects it can be transported using conveyor beltscarried in your inventory, carried in a vehicle, or used as fuel for various vehicles. This is done through the newly unlocked Packager building.

The oil energy milestone unlocks Fuel powered generatorpower station which will burn fuel to produce 250 MW of energyend three times as much as a coal-fired generator. A fuel-powered generator takes a bit of setting up because you have to deal with it a byproduct of polymer resin from refineries producing fuel.
However, once you've perfected your setup, fuel-powered generators are a major improvement over coal-powered generators, as they allow you to take back the coal from your previous power plants and use it in a more useful way, such as making steel parts. .
This milestone also unlocks Caterium Rudaif you haven't already unlocked it by finding a small cluster and exploring it in MAM. This material is mainly used in production Quickwire and related products.
Level 5 Objectives and Tips
Your first goal at level 5 is to unlock Oil processing milestone gain access to Refinery and all the benefits they provide. This will then enable you turn crude oil into plastic and rubberboth of which are necessary to unlock the remaining Tier 5 milestones (except Jetpacks).
We recommend focusing on Milestone of oil energy another because it is a big step forward in power generation from coal-fired generators. Setting up a dedicated fuel plant allows you to add even more machines to your factory.
While you won't be able to work on space elevator deliveries until you unlock the level 6 industrial production milestone, expanding your energy network and infrastructure setup for multiple machines soon will help you a lot later. In addition, you can start thinking about how to set up Trainsalso unlocked at level 6, from routing of potential train stations and railways.
Overall, there is quite a lot to learn at level 5, so we recommend slowly experimenting with oil production, fuel-powered generators, and liquid packaging while working on these milestones and level 6.
