The Rasengan remains an incredibly relevant jutsu in Boruto Uzumaki's time. The Boruto the series continues to expand on Naruto Uzumaki's signature technique, introducing new and powerful Rasengan variants that could obliterate enemies in an instant. One of these new variants is the Rasengan Uzuhiko, which Boruto Uzumaki learned with the help of Kashin Koji's foresight during the timeskip.

Naruto: 8 Strongest Dojutsu, Ranked
Here are the most powerful dojutsu in Naruto, ranked from weakest to strongest.
Among the many variants of the Rasengan in both Naruto and Borutofew can match Uzuhiko's power. In theory, Uzuhiko's Rasengan is infused with virtually unlimited power drawn from the planet's chakra. As such, these weaker variants of the Rasengan are clearly inferior to Boruto's Uzuhiko.

Vanishing Rasengan
A Rasengan built for deception
When it comes to Rasengan variants perfect for surprise attacks, Boruto's Vanishing Rasengan is undeniably one of the best. It's a trick variant that disappears mid-flight and reappears unexpectedly before impact, all thanks to the lightning chakra that Boruto subconsciously infuses into the jutsu.
However, while the Vanishing Rasengan is excellent for stealth and surprise attacks, it pales in comparison to Uzuhiko's Rasengan, which not only draws energy from a much larger energy source, but also leaves a permanent effect instead of a one-time surprise attack.

Rasengan: Lightning
A fusion of wind energy and tailed beasts
IN Last: The Naruto movieNaruto Uzumaki put Kurama's chakra into his standard Wind Release: Rasengan to come up with another variant, the Rasengan: Flash. It is similar in size to the standard Rasengan, but has a visible spiraling wind around it.
Naruto fires it as a beam capable of cutting through explosions and even uses it for air propulsion. Given its applications, it is clear that it is no match for the debilitating power of Uzuhiko's Rasengan. Like the Vanishing Rasengan, it favors utility over overwhelming power.

Twin Rasengan
Naruto's double Rasengan attack
There is no such thing as too many Rasengans in battle, and unleashing two at once with the Twin Rasengan jutsu is a surefire way to secure a decisive victory. With this technique, Naruto Uzumaki literally wields the Rasengan in each hand. At some point in The movie Naruto 2, Naruto was able to use Gelel Rasengan and Demon Fox Rasengan at the same time.
Later in the original series, Naruto was aided by his clones, allowing him to create two Rasengans simultaneously with greater ease. Too bad Boruto doesn't need two Rasengans to overpower his enemies with Uzuhiko. He simply needs one Uzuhiko Rasengan to send his enemies away.
5
Rasendan
A Rasengan with tremendous long-range power
The Rasendan, otherwise known as the Spiraling Bullet, is an advanced variant used by Momoshiki Otsutsuki in Boruto. Unlike most Rasengan variants, which have a short range, the Rasendan is fired as a ranged attack. It is one of the fastest variants in the series and definitely one of the most unavoidable jutsu.
Still, compared to Uzuhiko's overall abilities, the Rasendan falls short. Although it is a long-range variant of the Rasengan, unlike Uzuhiko, it lacks the power to take down opponents decisively.
4
Magnet Release: Rasengan
A Rasengan that immobilizes enemies on contact
In Naruto Uzumaki's Sage of Six Paths form, he gained the ability to create a Rasengan infused with Shukaku's chakra, giving rise to the Magnet Release: Rasengan variant. Designed to instantly block an opponent's movements, it can immobilize targets on contact and become one of the most striking Rasengan variants in the series.
Meanwhile, when it comes to immobilizing your opponent's moves, Boruto's Rasengan Uzuhiko clearly has the edge. With its debilitating effects, it can leave anyone disoriented, preventing them from using jutsu or even keeping their balance. The worst part is that the effect has no clear end unless Boruto decides to deactivate it.
3
Rasengan: Unison
The combined power of Boruto and Kawaki's karma
Having a trusted partner that Boruto knows will have his back no matter what is essential to performing Rasengan: Unison. At the time, that trusted partner was Kawaki Uzumaki, who shared his Karma power with Boruto to strengthen his Rasengan and smash Boro's upper body into pieces.
Unfortunately, this variant of the Rasengan is not strong enough to penetrate a sand shield or water column, at least in one of Naruto's licensed games. To that end, it goes without saying that Boruto's Rasengan Uzuhiko is a much more effective choice for dealing the final blow to opponents even stronger than Boro.
2
Compression Rasengan
A Rasengan designed to penetrate defenses
Before mastering the Rasengan, Uzuhiko developed the Boruto Uzumaki Compression Rasengan and its advanced form, the Super Compression Rasengan. This new variant is designed to penetrate even the most impenetrable armor and defenses, allowing him to defeat powerful foes. However, using the Compression Rasengan is not for the faint of heart as the recoil is no joke.
Despite the impressive penetration power of the Compression Rasengan, it is far inferior to the debilitating effects of Uzuhiko's Rasengan. Uzuhiko is not only designed to breach defenses and knock out opponents, but to trap Boruto's targets in an endless state of vertigo until their bodies eject and die. Additionally, the Uzuhiko creates minimal, if any, recoil for the user.
1
Baryon Rasengan
The impact blew Isshiki Otsutsuki away
Between Naruto Uzumaki's forms in both Naruto and BorutoBaryon Mode is one of the most powerful, although it comes with serious consequences. In this state, Naruto unleashes a Rasengan powerful enough to blast Isshiki Otsutsuki away. In fact, Isshiki was so stunned that he never managed to shrink Naruto's Baryon Rasengan.
While the Baryon Rasengan may be one of Naruto Uzumaki's most powerful Rasengan variants, Uzuhiko still transcends its concept, impact, and sustained destructive potential. Unfortunately, as the battle continues, the Baryon Rasengan gradually loses power compared to the Uzuhiko, which operates on a theoretically unlimited scale.
