Key things
- The Sims 4: Life and Death expansion adds new urn options that allow Sims to choose unique resting places.
- Urns in the game range from classic designs to special ones for occult states such as servos, aliens, vampires and more.
- Players can choose urns based on their Sims' personalities, with options such as a golden winged urn, a mermaid urn, and a beautiful space urn.
As they say, there are more ways to skin a cat and there are more ways to bury a Sim. Traditionally, Sims who had their mortal remains outside had tombstones, while Sims who stayed indoors had urns. With The Sims 4: Life and Death, Sims can now have urns wherever they want.

All of the urns added in this update are great additions to the game, but which ones are the best? Which areas are the most amazing for ash? Look no further: these are all the urns in The Sims 4: Life and Death, sorted.
9 The original urn
Can't beat a classic
This urn is simply a classic. The Original Urn was the very first urn added to the game and will be familiar to any Sim who keeps a Sim's ashes inside. For those who want something elegant yet simple, this urn is the perfect choice.
Urns have been in the series since the original Sims game and work just like tombstones. Be careful not to break them or the ghosts might be unhappy.
8 Servo Urn
To sleep mode
All men must die – but Servos are not men. Well, it seems they must die too. For Servants who die, this Urn awaits. It's made of metal and sculpted to resemble the servos themselves in a close-fitting tribute.
Fun Fact: Servants can only die by losing control, being crushed by a Murphy bed, water, and (weirdly) the fever of rabid rodents. Make sure your minions don't catch rabies or they will end up in this urn.
7 Alien urn
The last spaceship
Occult states have their special urns, and the alien occult state is no exception. Aliens who choose to rest in urns are given a large metal urn with a faint silver sheen. Moving the camera around the urn reveals a clever octagonal pattern.

Since the Aliens were the first occult nation added to the game, this is the first special urn to be added. With the Life and Death update, anyone can choose this special urn.
6 Urn with golden wings
On the Wings of Angels
Wings have been a symbol of death for ages. It makes sense that an urn that incorporates this theme would be added to the game. The Golden Wings Urn is an urn that seems to give wings to your deceased Sims. You don't have to worry about being buried in your best suit when you can get wings after you die.
This urn is made of gold and is quite simple except for the winged design. If your Sim wanted to be an angel (or was a devil with an eye for irony), try the Golden Wings urn.
5 A simple urn
No Need For Fuss
Some Sims would prefer a simpler resting place. A Simple Urn awaits those Sims. A simple urn is a small urn made of marble material. The only decoration is a gold lid and a gold band around the top.
Urns can be selected by the player by clicking on the urn/tombstone. These can be changed once the Sim dies, allowing the correct urn to be used at the funeral.
4 Mermaid urn
Burial at Sea
For Sims with a nautical bent, there's no better final resting place than the Mermaid Urn (at least until they add burial at sea). The mermaid urn is a large cream urn made up of mosaic pieces. The tail and the ocean were rendered in small pieces of stone.

Don't forget to choose an urn with your Sims personality in mind. This adds a new level of immersion to the game and makes each Sim's life special.
3 Glowing Urn
A glow among the ashes
This urn is unique because it looks like it is made of a glowing material. It almost appears to be made of carved moonstone, with a deep glow seeming to emanate from within. Moonstone doesn't seem like a stable material to build an urn out of, but it works here.
The shape, carved in a flowing, almost water-like manner, is also interesting. This urn would be perfect for Sims who really want something unique for their loved ones or for themselves.
2 Vampire Urn
Dust to dust
Unfortunately, the only real way a vampire sim can die is by mandatory cremation. Vampire Sims can die from exposure to sunlight, turning them to ash in no time. Phew.

At least the vampire urn offers a properly regal resting place for the kings and queens of the night. Made of black stone and topped with a vampire bat on the lid, this urn is the perfect resting place for vampires unfortunate enough to see the sunrise.
1 Space Urn
Rest among the stars
This urn is probably the most beautiful of all. Added in the Life and Death expansion, the Cosmic Urn is a simple but striking urn that seems to be inspired by Van Gogh's Starry Night.
Choosing an urn can be difficult. It's hard to sum up a Sim's entire life in one subject. But for those Sims who would like beauty in death, the Cosmic Urn is a great choice.
