A recent leak suggests that Kong from the Monsterverse franchise may be on the way Fortnite in the coming months during the upcoming Chapter 6 of the massively popular Battle Royale game. The latest trailer for the upcoming Fortnite chapter has already confirmed the arrival of Kong's on-screen rival Godzilla with a design pulled straight from the latest film in Legendary's Monsterverse.

Fortnite is loaded with guest characters, with some fans noticing that some of them also took part in the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny.
The latest information about the upcoming chapter comes from well-known leaker ShiinaBR on Twitter, who shared a post seemingly confirming that Kong is also set to appear in the game soon. There's still no concrete information on when Kong might appear or what form he might take, but given the usual trend Fortnite having a mid-season collaboration seems like a likely prospect.

Of course, this wouldn't be the first time Kong has appeared in a video game project in which the character has appeared before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as a common crossover with Godzilla x Kong film. He even received his own solo video game project earlier this year with the 2D Metroidvania Kong: Survival Instinct on store shelves already in October.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 seems to be heavily inspired by Japanese culture and media overall, with many of its skins themed around samurai, anime, and other iconic elements from the country. Naturally, the collaboration of the season also seems to be related to a theme such as escapism Demon Slayer a crossover reportedly on the way and a skin based on Disney's Baymax Big hero 6.
Another change for the upcoming season comes from the price of the Battle Pass, which will seemingly increase to 1,000 V-Bucks from the usual 950, although Epic Games promised that the prices of the digital currency will not change. Fans will be able to see exactly what the new chapter is all about Fortnite has in store for them when it starts next month on December 1st, and it will bring all of these collaborations along with new and returning items, and a brand new map along with it.
