Fortnite players successfully unlock the main POI expansion

Team Foundation members have successfully completed enough rivalries in Chapter 7 Season 2 to unlock the major upgrade to the BZ Builder's Barracks in Battle Royale, which greatly improves it. This is a fun mechanic that keeps players on their toes and gives them side objectives throughout each match.

Team Foundation has reached milestone 2 and significantly improved the Builder's Barracks

Players completed all the milestones in Act 1 quite quickly, so when v40.20 launched, Epic Games launched the Showdown Act 2 milestones and rewards, giving players another goal to achieve. Just a few days into Act 2, Team Foundation has already successfully reached its second milestone, unlocking a major upgrade for Builder's Barracks, a named location on the east coast of Battle Royale Island that adds more buildings and better loot.

The Builder's Barracks was the last to be added Fortnite update on April 16th, so some players may not have had a chance to visit it yet. Before, the place consisted of nothing but a barracks. Now, however, there are two large structures on either side of its entrance, and behind them is a harbor with a ship. All buildings and structures in Builder's Barracks are made from the same materials players use when playing Battle Royale Build Mode, so they consist of wood, brick, and metal.

There were several landmarks in Chapter 1 that were also built from harvestable materials. However, the reason Builder's Barracks is built this way is because it is a product of a crossover event between Battle Royale and Save the World. After v40.20 launched, Save the World became free-to-play, and to celebrate, some STW heroes and weapons made their way into BR.

The Builder's Barracks is the only named location that will receive adjustments as players progress through Act 2. The seven-base Vortex Beacon will receive a power boost once Team Foundation reaches milestone four, and slipstreams will appear in ice biomes once Team Ice King does the same. The latter is more likely than the former, as for now Team Ice King is gaining rivalry points significantly faster. However, that could change in the blink of an eye, especially since Epic Games is constantly holding power hours for each team, giving them the opportunity to get ahead.
