Grounded 2 Release Notes Patch Notes for the April Update

Grounded 2 received Patch 0.4.0.2 which brings a major change to webs and several bug fixes. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, Grounded 2 debuted in Early Access on July 29, 2025 for Xbox Series X/S and PC players. The game is a sequel to the popular original from 2022 and transports the player to the fresh environment of Brookhollow Park with new challenges. It's already proven to be a huge success, topping the Steam charts and Xbox Game Pass players on multiple occasions.

Earlier in 2026, Obsidian pulled back the curtain Grounded 2 2026 roadmap, which offers fans a look into the future of the game and how the team plans to deepen its survival and base-building aspects. Highlights included new enemies, new locations to explore, and a wealth of additional content for players to dive into. The studio has largely kept its promises with each update, but there have been a number of bugs and glitches that have spoiled the experience for some players. Obsidian Entertainment is working to fix these issues and has now released another patch aimed at just that.

The patch also includes a number of bug fixes, mainly focused on Buggies in Grounded 2. It also addresses a crash that occurred when loading worlds, as well as an issue where players could lose progress after reloading the same save. The update also completely overhauled Buggies with a full progression system, along with new mutations and other content. The latest patch has been received positively by the community so far, with players on Reddit and Twitter praising the developers for constantly improving the game and taking feedback to heart.

While fans are excited about the future of the game, they also want the developers to address various issues Grounded 2 before full release. These include restrictive inventory limits despite the backpack system, as well as the occasional encounter with empty chests. Fans are hoping that these concerns will be addressed in the upcoming updates.
