Lords of the Fallen (PS Plus)

The inspiration for this PSA, Lords of the Fallen is better than its reputation, which is primarily based on version 1.0, which was released in 2023. Also, LOTF is breathtakingly beautiful and probably the most visually impressive soul ever, at least in the moments where things slow down to allow players to bask in the beauty of the horizon.
Soulslikes are overrepresented these days and I understand many people's desire to take a break from the genre. This exhaustion was one of the reasons I almost lost this PS Plus game. However, truth be told, I'm just tired of mediocre soulslike games, and good is still good.

Tiny Tiny's Wonderlands is the only modern game in the series that I would recommend to people who didn't like it Border and its continuation. The setting, tone, plot progression, and classes are different enough from the current state to distinguish the spin-off from the main series, and it doesn't require players to have any real familiarity with the overall universe. Just hop on board, shoot a few goblins, trolls and crabs, and when you're done, move on to something else.

So many aspects have been updated to appeal to younger players who don't remember the glory days of tank movement, with the games supporting both classic and modern controls. Visually, the original Lara Croft model has never looked better, and the new art style is still reminiscent of the original Core Design aesthetic.
