Peni Parker is a powerful Vanguard that specializes in objective defense and creates Cyber-Webs that restrict your opponents movement while healing and buffing. He plays less like a traditional “tank” and more like a trap/support character, dealing consistent mid-range damage while helping your team and defending your enemies.

Peni belongs to the Vanguard role, which means she has a significant pool of health and several ways to help and defend her team. However, has (normally) no damage reduction or shield abilitiesmeaning your teammates can't rely on you to absorb or protect them from the blast damage. The only exception is her Team-Up with Venom, which is described below.

It's helpful to think of Pena Parker as a setup/defense character from other games, strengthening critical areas of the battlefield and closing choke points. It is this playstyle, along with her large frame and health bar, that allows her to protect her team.

Description

Basic Attack: Cyber-Web Cluster

Peni fires a projectile that deals moderate damage with a small blast radius. What it lacks in pure damage numbers it makes up for in infinite ammo and no damage drops, allowing Pena to complete a final strike at any range.

Cyber-Web Snare

Peni releases a bundle of webbing – a slow-moving projectile – that briefly immobilizes enemies hit or creates a cybernetic web if it hits the environment. I stand further Cyber-Webs will increase your speed and heal you if you are injured (or give you Bonus Health if your health is full). You can have up to three individual Cyber-Webs active at once.

Bionic spider nest

Peni creates a spider's nest near her, which will cover the surrounding area with cybernetic webs and spawn spider drones regularly. Spider-drones will chase nearby enemies, they will explode and deal damage if they get close enough. A spider's nest can be destroyed, so try to place it somewhere out of sight.

Team-Up (Venom): Armor Expulsion

Venom gives Pena part of his Symbiote, increasing her abilities. Peni can activate this Team-Up to surround herself in a ball of spikes that give her significant damage reduction and will knock back and damage any enemies that come close to her.

Peni Parker's game plan is simple: figure out where the next fight is going to take place, then give your team an advantage. setting up Cyber-Webs and Arachno-Mines to heal yourself and hurt your enemies.

When the going gets tough, don't be afraid to use your Cyber-Bond and Wall-Crawl to level up – and if your opponents try to follow you, lay some Arachno-mines to surprise them.

Peni Parker and SP//dr works best with characters that like to poke from a distance, such as Magneto, Namor, Squirrel Girl and Loki. Alternatively, Peni can stay back at the objective/capture point and defend the strategists while other team members fight on the front lines.

The key to playing well is Peni Parker know when to pick your battles. Since you don't have on-demand defense like Magneto or Doctor Strange (outside of your Team-Up) or massive mobility like Hulk or Venom, in general, you shouldn't chase fleeing enemies or push forward aggressively unless you have a Spider-Sweeper ready.

Otherwise, always try to fight near – or preferably inside – your cybernets, as they can give you the healing and movement necessary to win.

in addition your Arachno-Mines can easily be hidden inside your Cyber-Websand your Cyber-Bond can compensate for your lack of mobility by allowing you to “fly around” inside your Cyber-Web setting.

When to use Spider-Sweeper
