Long before Levi became one of the leading figures in the Survey Corps, he lived a hard life underground. Levi and his two friends used the 3D Maneuver Gear to steal and escape until the scout corps chased them. This scene from the Attack on Titan: No Regrets OVA shows Levi skillfully using Titan-killing equipment without formal training.
He used the gear to smoothly evade the pursuers and finally faced Erwin and Mike, who were two of the most important members of the scouting corps at the time. The fight only ended when Levi realized that Furlan and Isabel had been caught. This little flashback scene told fans about Levi's natural talent for fighting.
A grand entry for humanity's strongest soldier
The first episodes of Attack on Titan were full of the unknown. While fans were still wondering how Eren became a Titan, they were introduced to one of the most beloved anime characters of all time. In season 1 episode 9, the anime introduced Levi in a big way. While carrying out their secret mission, Levi decided to separate from Furlano and Isabel for a while. The heavy rain made it difficult to spot the titans, and the Abnormal Titan walked right through Levi without him realizing it. He soon came upon a group that had been attacked and immediately returned to check on his comrades. But he arrived too late and found the Abnormal Titan having already killed his two dearest friends.
Levi found himself in complete shock and pain. What followed was a heartbreaking scene where he destroyed the titan to pieces while expressing his own agony and grief. Instead of the usual uptempo music, this scene was accompanied by sad piano notes that really emphasized Levi's pitiful feelings.
Facing one of the Nine Titans
At this point in the anime, the power of the Nine Titans was still a complete mystery. The Pure and Abnormal Titans themselves were a major threat. But Levi handled both easily. But during the final arc of Season 1, Eren was kidnapped by a Titan who was seemingly smarter and stronger than the Titans we've seen so far.
In Season 1, Episode 22, Levi and Mikasa chased after the Titan to save Eren. The titan attempted an attack which Levi dodged and quickly attacked her with a slash across her forearm. He moved at her at a high pace and aimed for her legs, making her unable to move. His attacks were so fast that the Titan didn't have a chance to harden her skin. Despite his injured ankle, he managed to not only overpower one of the nine Titans, but also save Eren.

The battle for the corpses of friends
During Season 4, Levi and a team of thirty friends watched over Zeke. Levi secretly planned to kill Zeke because he couldn't trust him. But before Levi could attack, Zeke escaped and at the same time used his scream to turn all of Levi's friends into Pure Titans. Previously, Zeke mixed his spinal fluid with Marleyan wine, which caused this tragedy.
Surrounded by his own kind, Levi made the heartbreaking decision to kill them all. He eventually caught up with Zeke, who was surprised that Levi would kill his friends. But Levi reminded Zeke that Levi had killed countless friends in the past because of Marley's sins. Using his agility and thunder spears, Levi regained a decisive victory over Zeke.
Struggling with her past
Attack on Titan Season 3 was a big change in setting. From fighting the titans, the narrative quickly turned into a political drama of fighting the humans. Eren and Historia were targeted by the Military Police and they wanted to have them in their possession at any cost. Levi's uncle Kenny was the ringleader of this ambush who wanted to brutally kill everyone. In the second episode of this season, Levi arrived to rescue Eren and Historia and was forced to deal with Kenny's squad on his own.
This scene is one of the best animated and choreographed scenes in anime. He makes great use of multiple camera angles and keeps his focus on Levi. Levi used his 3D maneuvering gear and environment to not only deftly dodge shots, but also kill his opponents with his blades and anchors. Despite fighting multiple opponents at once, Levi's collected attitude allowed him to deal with them with minimal injury. In an anime heavily influenced by the supernatural, it's amazing to see that a scene like this had a big impact.
Sacrifice March
Season 3, Episode 17 is one of the highest rated episodes of the series. Levi's encounter with the Beast Titan is the main reason why this is the case. Zeke's overwhelming attacks put the scout corps at a great disadvantage. As a last resort, Erwin decided to march his troops to their deaths so they could create a diversion for Levi. After witnessing the painful deaths of beloved characters, Levi finally reached the Beast Titan.
This scene really showed why Levi was leagues ahead of everyone else. He instantly slashed with the front limbs of the Beast Titan, causing the mighty enemy to fall. With lightning speed, he made numerous slashes to the back of his neck, revealing his human body. The Beast Titan was seen as a major threat that killed off many beloved characters before, but the way Levi dealt with it quickly made it seem trivial.
